Looks like Glastonbury has had an impact on album sales, possibly with nationwide television coverage playing a large part. http://www.bbc.co.uk...o1/chart/albums
Most notable is Vampire Weekend jumping 18 places to re-enter at 40 despite being in the charts for nearly 6 months, Florence & The Machine rising 12 places exactly a year after release, Muse re-entering at 13 with an album out 10 months ago and Gorillaz latest effort climbing 12 places.
All artists featured heavily in the tv coverage.

Listening to Radio1 as we left site on the Monday afternoon they were saying that all the headliners sales had increased massively. I can't remember which headliner it was, but their sales had increased by 1400% on the week before!

Bloody hell, there's incorrect grammar in the *title of the thread* but it's 'brought' that gets picked on. Come on folks, if you're going to play the English language nazi's hit the right target

Yes, i think technically it should read either 'Glastonbury affects album sales', or 'Glastonbury has an effect on album sales'. Someone will probably tell me i'm wrong too now. We know what you meant though Nick.
