I went to glasto 90, one of the wet ones, and still love watching it on telly, but really feel that thses things should be the territory of the young, I can imagine my neices znd nephews being really cheesed off if they saw their Aunty 'Mutton' boogying away I'm not saying the you should give up listening to new bands after 40, but it has to be said that there are enough of 'our' bands still going to keep us wrinklies happy, and that festivals etc should have an age limit of 30. We usually have the money to spend on them which may be one reason tickets sell out so fast, how many students have £200 sitting in the bank in January? No wonder k so many 'weekenders ' are full of grey bonces. We really should do our 'yoof' a favour and treat them to the festival experience if we have the funds and stay at home with the cat and a large G and T!
Do you belong at Glasto too right!
If you didn't go to Glastonbury along with all the other 'old' people, Glastonbury wouldn't be Glastonbury it'd be Leeds and Reading Or T in the Park..
For a first timer this year, looking back on past festivals and peoples memories, they seem to remember the hippies and all the wild stuff, and whilst the hippies aren't quite a main theme now, the people who saw them follow how they went and make it a Joyous occasion for all.
Sure some of us may not wanna go see Willie Nelson, or know any Lightning Seeds songs, but i have high respect for the people who still go, they make it the least hostile place ever.
I'm 18, Seriously stop people going to festivals at 30, haha, i'd probably cry. Glasto is Glasto for a reason, i don't think it'd be here today if it was like leeds with the tent burning, Mr. Eavis would of put a stop to it..
The 'Yoof' of today as you call them, have other festivals where the so called 'old' people would stick out like a sore thumb, this is the place to be, everyone is welcome, let it stay that way
