Hello all, hope you all had a fantastic Glasto. This is my 3rd year in a row and they are getting better & better. One of my highlights of the week was seeing local band The Wurzels. They never fail to entertain me.

They've just entertained the Avalon Stage at Glastonbury for the 2nd time in 3 years. It was estimated 15-20,000 people were in the field of Avalon to see their Saturday afternoon show and it's fair to say everyone had a BLAST.

Rolf Harris last year did a set on the former Jazz World stage and similarly the field was packed to the absolute rafters. Rolf was duly promoted to kick start the festival on the Pyramid Stage which he did do to good comedy effect.

Now it's time (they have been around long enough!) The Wurzels can show the wider public what they do best and entertain us all on the big Pyramid stage. Fun is guaranteed with their hit classics such as 'Combine Harvester' and 'Drink Up Thy Cider'.

What do you think? Please see the Facebook group for more details, please join - http://www.facebook....63577277&ref=mf

Cheers!

Pretty sure Rolf did the other stage last year and it was still too small.

Same reason we all went and saw Rolf, it's a bit of fun.

Yes, stick them on the Pyramid so they don't block up decent stages with their bilge.Posted Image

Had to endure three or four of their 'songs' whilst waiting for the Avett Brothers to come on at Avalon.

I thought they had already had their big shot when Terry Wogan and Ed "Stewpot" Stewart were playing them relentlessly (late '70s I think).
(Edit: Just googled. A number 1 and number 3 singles in 1976).

Can't believe I'm about to type "I agree with tonyblair" but I agree with tonyblair.

Why?

I'm sure they have played the pyramid before, could be wrong though.
