Am I the only person who was really impressed by how (comparatively) clean the loos were? I was camped in Dance right opposite the Otehr Stage and the loos were really well looked after, with the Love Your Loos crew constantly in and out with their mops. Many times I didn't even have to wipe the seat down before I sat! I really thought it was a noticeable difference from my last festival (2007).
Applause all round!!!

I agree, I didn't queue once and never had a problem sitting down. Those long drops were so much better in the heat, I can't understand why people went anywhere the portaloos, they must have been rank!

Best condition I have seen them in 17 Years!

the condition of the loo's were excellent. i just can't believe they got rid of the ones at the bottom of pennards near the glade. was a right mission if you were at the glade and the other stage had an act on. also why had the urinals gone from the bottom of the stone circle? saw a lot more people pissing against the hedge there and i think that the removal of those contributed. also there were some toilets missing from the top of pennards to.

I used the Portaloos a couple of time and they were quite good as well. Clean and, what I found amazing, they didn't stink.
Thumbs up for loos this year.

Loos were outstanding this year (and I was well impressed last year, which was my first return in nearly a decade, but this was a class beyond that still).
I used a portaloo wednesday evening out of sheer, beer driven desperation and it wasn't a traumatic experience at all. Still, not nice
I stick to my favourite toilets mostly (railway track avalon crossroads) where the long drop sides are lower and you get that nice airflow
Urinals there are also fun for chatting with giggling passers by.
Another example of why organisationally 2010 was quite simply the best yet*

I know its childish but it always made me giggle in the long drops with those stickers about Lady Gardens and Mooncups lol !

Apart from the smell in the long drops with all the heat, yeah they were pretyy good, nothing to compare to but they always seemed fairly clean to me
.
Agree why would anyone think about using a portaloo in this weather is beyond let alone the filth they seem to generate!

Cant quite remember where but I used a flushing portaloo somewhere !
Overall, I thought the loos were really clean.

I didn't find a nasty loo this year - I don't usually use the portaloos but even they were fine because the "loo people" did such a great job. We thanked them and or applauded them at every opportunity!

Definitely much better this year than last as there seemed to be many more urinals around site, especially in the campsites, which would have cut the queues down for the ladies quite a bit.

They acctually had attendants with huts near most toilet blocks doing frequent clean ups. Hats off to them for best loos I can remember in 14 years.

Why were the urinals missing from Big Ground this year? For men, it's almost impossible to use the long drops with perfect aim. The urinals take this out of the equation! Sorry ladies, I did try my best. Poor form to take the urinals away.

Generally they were excellent this year, a bit contrast to all years before.
The worst ones in my experience were the ones around the other stage and dance village - every time i went in any of them they were always full and were a bit grotty to say the least.
The best ones by far were the ones by the cider bus. I went in one that was perfectly clean and didn't even smell at all!

why does everyone seems to hate the portaloos? they're always really clean, the long drops are the worse because u can see everything down there! but yes a hugee improvement from last year !

I know what you mean! I took a huge shit in the longdrops on the Saturday and looked down and there it was all nice and curled up!
