i'm going to leeds this year, and i've never been to a festival before, just to clarify.
what's the deal with bands playing under different names, and secret bands and acoustic sets? and camp site bands? will they be shown in the programme or do you just have to work it out?
apparently gallows are 'the rats'
i don't understand why they don't just put gallows instead?
any other bands that might be under a different name?

Apparently, "Arcade Fire" aren't on spotify, so aren't a real band, which means it's actually Green Day or Muse headlining the Saturday
It's down to exclusivity rights for other festivals that Gallows are playing as The Rats.

It doesn't really happen that often, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Your best bet is to check on here around the time of the festival to see if anyone's got any ideas.

I think this Idea is slightly getting out of hand now
in 2004 Kasabian played as K*S*B*N so they could play V and R&L
in 2006(7/8?) Kaiser chiefs played under a different name
there is a lot of belief that the rats is going to be Gallows
and unless ive obvoiusly missed one that's it, 2 bands in 6 years. That carnt even be said as a regular occurrence. People just love to start rumours to get on the bandwagon. This year instead of the "x is dead" rumours in the campsite its going to be "x,y and z are all playing the carling stage on the Sunday"

Rumours I've heard are that The Subways, Bloc Party and Foo Fighters are all planning on doing secret sets this year.
