I managed to get in a whole 5 bands this year, spent a lot of the time lazing around near the tent in the shade / trying to catch up on some sleep.

Saw 14 bands on Friday alone ... granted 2 of those were whilst running along the path at the back of the other stage so they probably don't count. Too much really meant we weren't up to much on Saturday.

I saw less than usual, although not because of the heat. I spent a lot of the fest on my own so went a bimbling quite a lot and ended up doing workshops and hearing speakers and making things, so don't feel like I missed out.

Fell in the 11-13 bracket. As this was my first time I had expectations to do so much more (hmmm... parallels with another first time I can think of!), and had a nicely green clashfinder, but found that there was just so much to see and do, and the heat did get to me on Saturday so I ended up chilling at the tent for several hours in the afternoon.
Feel slightly disappointed, but that said spent ages up in the green fields just bimbling and had the best shitsu massage on the Friday to get rid of the aches and pains of the walk in.

Just checked with the Clashfinder and I saw 13. Had I not been a totally spent force on Saturday after a heavy/late Friday, it would have been a couple more but the heat didn't affect it.

Niblet, on 29 June 2010 - 01:57 PM, said:I managed to get in a whole 5 bands this year, spent a lot of the time lazing around near the tent in the shade / trying to catch up on some sleep.
why laze in your tent when there are so many better places to laze? i saw 1 act on the pyramid, none on the other stage, because it was too hot for me, and i like to laze, but i found a great bit of shade in the coiussant neuf field where the gentle breeze could be found, and chilled away many hours.
it's hard to count acts. saw the speakers forum poetry slam, 13 poets, 1 hour. good times. does Aisle 16 count as 1 or 6?

Think I did pretty well.. 24 Acts, some for only a few songs but did the most i could manage, especially considering the heat! Sacrificed Slash and Ray Davies for the footie on the Sunday. Possibly the only regret.

i saw about 6 or 7 in total but the main rreason i didn't see as much was because we brought out 18 month old son for the first time and we just couldn't move around much in the heat with him, still had a top time though and he was as good as gold..he loved it
