Hats off to this crew.  I really didnt think they could top what they've done before and expected the area to be the same but extended over more ground.  The whole thing was better and so impressive to walk around.  My only criticism would be that the music could have been better.  Especially when I hear ragga in a place that was born for techno!  Perhaps bring down more big DJs from the tech/house/prog/trance/dnb for people to rave it up?  And also - dont stop the music so early!

What time did they stop the music?  I was dancing in the rave-oke bar in Shangri-la til about half 6 and it was still rocking.

Maybe it was on later than I thought actually but it did seem to lose a bit of vibe for me.

it all looked brilliant from the outside but everytime i tried to go in it was at capacirt and we were all told to turn away or sent down a one way route back to a different part of the festial, so i didnt get a chance to see anyof it at night :(

Im a bit baffled by this as my mates said the same.  On the Saturday night we went in twice, first time about 11.30 and we breezed in but the headliners hadnt finished.  We then went for a wander at about 2am then webt back in at around 3, again we walked straight in.  Shangri-la was amazing especially when youre twisted out of your mind!

The one way system completely screwed it up for me, took us an hour to go round in a circle and get back to where we stated, lost out mojo by then.  I reckon a re-think is in order.

The one-way system was really annoying - not convinced it was completely necessary, didn't seem to stop Shangri La getting compeltely gridlocked at 2am on Sat night...

Thought Arcadia and Block 9 were spectacular. Shangri La a bit too weird for me - must be my lack of drug taking :)

The one way system was awful.  Had to go out to use the toilets and got sent all the way round the outside of the whole arena twice without being let in - each gate just forwarding you to the next.  That's really not on.

Hearing Stakker Humanoid in Bez's Acid House was one of the moments of the fest for me.

The strobe in there was insane and Bez shouting "On the edge! On the edge! On the edge!"

Amazing.

Yea, the one way system really was'nt thought out very well with regards to the loos. Once people were clued up about not being allowed back in after going to the loo in the field next door then they started to piss in the hedges of Arcadia, which for some strange reason had no loos whatsoever.

And agree with angelesque that the one way system was totally necessary, how sending people on a longer route would shrink the numbers I don't know, very strange. All it done, from what I witnessed, was to annoy people to the point of being abusive to the security. Easy to see why when they are being herded around pointlessly. Crowd control gone silly imo.

Having no toilets in Arcadia was so ridiculous...

4 of us got into Arcadia earlyish on Saturday night and my missus and I needed to go to the toilet so we gave our mate some money for drinks and asked a steward where they were.. he told us to just go left and they were right there and we could get back in by turning left again.

So after we went to the toilet we realised we had to go all the way out of the late night area via the Common to get back into Arcadia.. by the time we got back to the entrance they had blocked it off..

They said they would let us in soon but after 25 mins they came up with a megaphone and told us that we all should leave because they were going to use that gate as an exit only...

People were pushing a bit and my gf and I accidently got pushed through the gate.. my gf went through unnoticed but I was set upon by a security guard and kicked out of the area completely... by that time the queue to get back into the common was epic and we were too pissed off to battle the crowd...

WHY WERE THERE NO TOILETS IN ARCADIA?????????

I imagine the bog situation will be sorted for next year, given that lack of bogs only encourages what GFL are trying to eradicate (i.e. pissing in anything other than a bog).
