Muddy Glastonbury's are now a thing of the past, as we haven't had one since 2007.   2008 was mostly warm and sunny, except for just a couple of hours rain.  2009 was mostly warm and sunny except for about an hour or so of light rain.  And this year was warm and sunny throughout, with no rain whatsoever.  I reakon this could actually be the norm from now on.  And muddy Glastonbury's are well and truly in the past.   At the risk of being completely wrong, I think next year's Glasto will see temperatures in the high 20C's throughout, and again no rain atall.

It wont stop the daily papers banging some reference to mud in to 99.97% of headlines they spit out over the glasto period ;)

If it's any indication the last full sunny festival was 2000 (a decade ago) before that it was 1994. So expect another in either 2016, or 2020.

2003 had virtually no mud - if I remember rightly there was a light shower after the headliner on the Sunday, apart from that next to no rain.

I'd happily take 2009's conditions over 2005/2007's - the Thursday and Friday were pretty muddy after a bit of heavy rain - Saturday and Sunday had glorious sunshine without this year's heat.

I feel like I've been pretty lucky - I've been 03, 04, 08, and now 10.

2003 was sunny right till the last night, 2004 was mixed, never terrible, ditto 2008, and then this year was just insanely hot and sunny. Fingers crossed I'm not gonna ever experience one of the apocalyptic years...!
