I am very impressed with the line up, really does bring out the bands that will be the future. Whether it is a good line up or not is debatable, but very imppressive indeed. Though I am a bit confused on how Ash is on their, thought the FR stage was meant to be for rising artists? They have been around for a while.

A great selection of new acts, but mostly guitar indie. Would like a bit more variation of genres and a better mix of old and new.

Gutted I'll be missing Ash though.

Meh...I was hoping for a good headliner to watch on sunday seeing as they're aren't really any so far, but Marina & The Diamonds make me sick. Quite a few decent up and coming bands on there. If you've got time, be sure to check out The Crookes (Friday Leeds/Saturday Reading). Decent band with some good tunes, i'll be watching to support Sheffield's talent :P

Well, to be honest, I've only heard of about 5 of the bands on the Festival Republic stage so it might be an chance for me to get up to date with the latest "hip and happening beats"...

...Or something. Meh I don't really care actually.

Warpaint, Atari Teenage Riot and Ash are fantastic bookings. The rest is a bit underwhelming... but thats this years theme i think

Luckily, I like saturdays main/nme/dance, so its no problem. Friday, although none really stood out, I like most of the ones I listened to - ill probaby just stay in the FR tent till Frank Turner

The line up on the festival stage in my opinion is pretty good, but by looking at the clashfinders i will barely get to go see any of them  , especially gutted about not going to be able to see Ash.

Amazingly happy. There's a few bands on there that are ones I will probably go see.
I had a problem with Leeds's Saturday headliners... specially as it was Dance Tent day, and I'm not the biggest fan of Dance stuff...
But the FR stage has solved it with British Sea Power. Love loads of their stuff, so should be good.

On a slightly related note... roughly how many people watch the FR stage over the day... and at the headliners?

not listened to that many of the bands yet but i will do my homework.
usually watch about 6-7 each year on the FR stage but i can't remember ever seeing a headliner.
a bit gutted the soft pack, the national, dinosaur pile up and a few others aren't on it but i'm sure there will be a few gems!

I don't think anyone will match the job Soulsavers did last year. Such an indredible act. Where very very impressive.

Indeed.

Thankfully I think the FR stage may save my saturday night at Leeds. Without looking at the Clashfinder I can imagine that I'll be spending a fair amount of time in there after Cypress Hill finish. Hang on...

*looks at clash finder*

Yep, I was right. Will probably see Tame Impala all the way through to British Sea Power unless somebody much better is in the other smaller tents.

Amen! they were incredible, Soulsavers then Faith No More was the best night at Reading in a long long time.

Atari Teenage Riot and Ash aside, the only band that I really wanna see Is Minus The Bear. Quality band. Would definatley be partial to a smoke for those boys!
