Over the weekend the Space Station will be flying over the festival site.
It's quite a sight for those who haven't seen it.
If anyone's interested then I'll post the dates and times...

I thought you were going to tell us about a band called International Space Station. They sounded promising.

I've followed this myself a few times and it's fascinating - is it going to be just the ISS or is the shuttle following as well? Amazing to watch, especially when you can go onto the ISS website and see who's on board, what they're doing etc - thanks for letting us know about this  :)

I was under the impression that the shuttle has just made it's last flight?

The ISS will easily be the brightest object in the sky and easy to spot as it will be be the only star type thing moving across the sky at over 17,000 mph.

It can clearly and unmistakeably be seen with the naked eye as a solid dot of fast moving light usually just after sunset or before sunrise when it's orbital track is over the UK, which from the OP is the case during Glasto weekend.

EDIT
Just checked my favourite satellite tracking site and the ISS is well & truly on a UK orbital path at the moment, passing overhead 2-3 times per night.

LINK Shows the next 10 days worth of sighting at Worthy Farm and should self-update showing a rolling 10 day list.

No Telescope needed, it's a naked eye object and an impressive one too...

The Space Shuttle has 2 flights left.
But I'm referring here to the International Space Station which is in permanent orbit.
