Just wondering the longest time you have been sleep deprived at Glastonbury. I have always made it till about 5am but never gone all the way through.

not at glastonbury but another festival a couple of years back, i managed from about 5am on friday til about 10pm on sunday! i wouldn't recommend it to be honest
I got far too little sleep on friday/ saturday at glastonbury last year and spent most of sunday feeling sorry for myself and trying to have a nap in my tent

Friday 6am to Sunday 3pm. Not at Glastonbury but a lost weekend in London many years ago.
Needed a week to recover.

Looking back, I know I got about 15 hours sleep in total between the Wed to Mon back at my first G in 1995. I was a fresh 17 year old back then.
But tbh, even these days, I tend to only get 3 hours sleep max per morning too. Roll into bed about 5 or 6 am and then back on it by 9ish more or less. Guzzle a Growler by 11am, swig from my fave Glasto cocktail pre-mixed bottle of pop and all is well with the world again. I certainly don't really recall ever going to bed any time earlier than 4am on any night at the G apart from when the weather disallows late playtime which is just annoying.
Afternoon snoozes don't count as sleep as they usually take place while at a stage and so that counts as still being awake!

Non glasto I've done 67 hours, not recommended to be honest. At glasto with all the walking and everything I did 9am Sat til 3am Monday morning and got 15 hrs total Weds to Monday last year. I do try and get 3 or 4 hours every morning 6-9am until the tent is unbearable. We reckon festival sleep counts double

I feel like a right old fart (and I'm only 27) but, I usually have 1 or 2 late nights then other nights, it's off for a kip. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy it though. And I've had a few brilliant late nights in shangri-la and the stone circle (obviously). Last year, I went to sleep really early on the Thursday and woke up about 4am on the Friday. Was cool. I went for a big walk around the site with a few spliffs, checking out the casualites who hadn't slept yet.

1995 I slept Wednesday night but never slept again until I got back to Derbyshire on the Monday afternoon.
Was not entirely done under my own steam though

Ive done 3 days before, not at Glasto. Included 2 piss ups, a flight to Paris, a train to Clermont Ferrand and then another piss up. Thursday 9am until Sunday morning at 5am or something. No drugs involved, well, except booze. Eventually went to bed when I started getting heart palpitations and sweating freezing cold sweat.
Pulled a few 6/7/8amers in Glasto. Saturday night last year was an early one.
Heres the kind of people you meet at 7am round the Jazz World.

And heres me and Wooderson about a half hour later, Wooderson looks like he needs bed asap!

I'm terrible at staying awake at Glasto, I nearly always go to bed at 12-1 in the morning. I'm hoping to do better this year though.

I've done a few out-all-weekenders, but not at glastonbury. I missed a night sleep at the Big Chill one year, but to be honest it wasn't the best move I've ever made, ended falling asleep in a field on the sunday and missing the day. Definitely planning on being a bit more sensible this year, even a few hours sleep makes the world of difference. There's too much to see and do to go missing whole days and I know i've burnt myself out a bit a can't hack missing a whole nights sleep these days! Obviously to leave this to will power would be pointless, so I've restricted myself to only take enough disco biscuits with me to last for one night

2008 i had no kip from Tuesday morning til about 1 on Saturday morning. I was seriously f*cked up by the end of it all, i was ready to kill The Kings Of Leon. Woke up at about 9 Sat morning then went all the way through to Monday!

Back in the 90s and up till 2002 it was always 3 days (with help
) but now sleep is a must for at least a few hours every night and i dont miss that horrible paranoia and hollow (jarvis was spot on!) feeling i used to get for days afterwards.
Fun at the time though.

In 2008 (first glasto) I woke up wed morning, drove down to the site, went the stone circle wed night, stayed up all night then got hammered thursday and stayed up pretty much all night, got a couple hours kip fri morning..... By the time the festival had properlly got going on Sat I was like a zombie!
...If your gonna have an all nighter do it Fri/Sat when there's loads going on, not Wed/Thurs when there's hardly any music!

Nice idea in principle, but how to get over the excitement of being on site with all your mates without caning it too hard too early?
If only there was some kind of mechanism in your head to control your own behaviour

I've had a word with myself before this year. Need to at least eat something and get a few hours kip a day this time round. I'm not the spring chicken who first rocked up in '94 and need to come to terms with it!

I'm rubbish at staying up but the longest was Sunday 9am to Monday 10am in 2007. My last stewarding shift was midnight - 6am and I drove home straight after it. So i was SOBER
