Artists CD signings at the West Holts stage

Songlines magazine will be be hosting artist CD signings at the West Holts stage (formerly known as JazzWorld) throughout the festival. Artists already confirmed include:

Tune-Yards  
Mariachi El Bronx    
Bonobo  
Breakestra  
Nouvelle Vague  
Femi Kuti
Troy Ellis
Brother Ali  
Phenomenal Handclap Band  
Bassekou Kouyate & Ngoni Ba  
Os Mutantes      
Dizraeli and the Small Gods
The Bees  
Tunng  
Staff Benda Bilili
Quantic & his Combo Barbaro
Toots & the Maytals

The Songlines tent is situated to the right of the stage (new location this year) and all artist CDs are just £10 each....or free, with a year's subscription to Songlines.

Songlines will also be running a competition offering a hand-crafted Socklo guitar, used by the Congolese band Staff Benda Bilili. Visit the stand for more details.

Good to have this annual thread back, and much looking foward to the Sunday daytime shows. How much is a Songlines annual subscription these days?

It's £29.75 and includes a free CD of any of the artists playing at the West Holts stage

that's right, approx 20 mins after each set. The MCs  will also be announcing the signings. We're still working on Mos Def and George Clinton, watch this space!

mos def wont be able to do it after his set?? he could do it before possibly? he finishes as gorillaz starts, then he has a mad rush to go join them on stage...

Just out of interest - does it have to be a CD purchased at the stall?  Or can you bring anything to be signed?

I don't know.  Looks like they have quite a money spinner going on.  If I wanted to get 2 items signed I'm not happy about paying £20 for the privilege!  Call me cheap if you want....
