Hi all,
I'm 16 and a Glasto first timer. Now do you think I'll be ok with taking alcohol in? I was thinking a couple crates of cans and a decanted bottle of gin and maybe some decanted white wine. If it's all in my bag do you think I'll be ok?
I'll be arriving late afternoon Thursday.

Theres always gonna be an outside chance that you get searched and then id'd, but I would say that you will be fine. Good luck getting a couple of crates, gin, and wine into one bag with all ur sruff though.

Yeah you should be alright, though it depends if they do a random search on you or not. To be honest, even if they do they will be more interested in drugs or glass anyway so I wouldn't worry too much.

Is it not just illegal to buy alcohol under 18?

That is true but as a minor I have to legally be with someone over the age of 18 so they can take responsibility for my crazy escapades. And they can confiscate anything they feel like at the gate

Been under 18 the last 2 years and now problems whatsoever with taking my booze in. No problem at any bars buying booze. Only when needing some rizla did any of my group ever get asked for ID.
My first festival as an adult aswell
