Oi leave the members alone. What's this about them being middle class . "The Sound of The Suburbs" was a celebration of suburban middle England punk, they were rebelling against the working class/inner city cliches of punk. They were on the London scene in 1977 and like The Stranglers are a great example of the roots of Uk punk not the cartoon hardcore dog on a string scene it became. I for one will be there at midnight I just hope they do Chelsea nightclub.

like Felna we both saw them last week & they are nothing like what they used to be in the good old days, yes they can still cut it live just,i suggest once you have seen them then you can form an opinion one way or another, more middle of the road Reggae now, see what you think.

Yeah for a couple of songs people were singing along, & yeah was pretty full the big top but there was no one else on & a lot were waiting for Squeeze, i'm not slagging them off as i really wanted to see them as like i said before i saw them in the 70's & thought they were great, did you see them in the 70's or have you seen them live at all apart from your armchair, if you have then i respect your opinion & if you havn't then how can you comment on what they are like now to back then until you see them, like i said this is my opinion & if you dont like it tough s**t.

They kind of turned into a lounge singer act later on. Still New Rose, Neat Neat Neat etc. were given good renditions.Just get the f**king the Damned to play I saw them twice last year.. f**kING AMAZING.

However I think Club Dada do have a hoedown type affair going on at some point, but don't think they're playing it. They are on on Saturday at The Lunar Sea Lounge and during the day at The Blazing Saddle stage.
Really liking the look of the Lunar Sea Lounge!!

Nevertheless, at 1am Saturday night I'm looking forward to joining an elderly crowd on zimmers shuffling from the Avalon Cafe and the Members to the Croissant Neuf to see The Beat. I trust the St John's ambulance team will be on standby.
And before I'm accused of ageism, I'm in my late 40s...
Oh, don't forget The Stranglers at 2pm on the Other Stage on the Friday (though I know they're not the same without Huge).
I caught All those acts, The Stranglers Were Fantastic.. The Beat Rocked... and the Members Made me Feel like I was 17 again... Even tho these guys are Old the Music sounds fresh .... We got our wish and our bit of Glasto Punk...

The Stranglers were one of my "must sees" and a most excellent time was had. I reckon the 2nd best band of the entire festi for me so far as having a real good time at the gig goes .
