Surely if they were going to pull out then they would just do it?

I would've thought that the organisers would've wanted to fill the slot before they announced them pulling out

If they pull out ill refund my ticket.

I only want to see Gogol Bordello, Billy Talent and Biffy Clyro other than Guns.

I also really dislike Josh Homme because he is just over rated shit.

Groll: So I drummed for Nirvana .. We got Jon Paul Jones from Zepplin ....... I suppose we have to get the QOTSA guy in to make this a supergroup.

You idiot you got a vocalist who is w*nk and the only thing he is famous for is the start of No One Knows.

Heard both Paradise city and Sweet child of mine on the radio this morning and it made me realise once again just how cringeworthy this band were and are currently.

Just re-affirming to me that I wont be seeing these and how I wish that it was someone else playing instead of them. I would pretty much prefer any other headlining/near to headlining status band to play instead of them. Hell I'd even have bloc party there....

Alkaline Trio will probably be the place form me, Unless I find something else around the site at that specific time.

If they do pull out it will be music to my ears. I'd be happy if they were replaced. I'd also be very happy with QOTSA biffy and LP being moved up the bill.

Sadly for me I cant see them pulling out. I would have prefered the end of my festival to be spent at the mainstage watching someone that appeals to me but we cant win them all....

No they are not pulling out. They only just announced a Belfast and Dublin gig to coincide with Reading and Leeds. End of story.

And as for QOTSA and Biffy Clyro being moved up, yeah okay, if you want to have one of the most boring headliners ever! But anyway thats all a matter of personal opinion.

Gotta say, having seen both Axl's GN'R and Slash solo, Slash is a much better performer and the classics sounds even better from him
Wouldn't mind if they pulled out and got just about anyone else to headline lol
It ain't gonna happen but still :)

Anyone who claims Queens Of The Stone Age are boring obviously hasnt taken the time to delve into their back catalog. There diversity on each album is amazing, and the song writing skills are evident. Just because a few of the songs take a few listens and are not instantly catchy, does not make them boring.

I remember hearing a while back the QOTSA were gunna do something to commemorate the first album, like play a set just of the first 2 albums? if so, that would be sweeet! The Self Titled Album is awesome

they are pulling out of leeds/reading due to contractual issues and are only playing belfast etc coz they booked them ages ago but they have more control over that show coz its their own.

qotsa will be bumped up to headline with MCR slotted underneath

I wouldn't have QOTSA as headliners, but they're easily better than G'NR. I don't think Josh Homme is amazing like some do but I do think QOTSA are a f**king quality band. G'nr won't pull out anyway, that's just some geezer's wishful thinking ;)

Sick, Sick, Sick will be one of the best songs performed at the whole festival.

They're releasing a special edition of Rated R with all the b-sides, some live stuff etc. I'm sure I read they were gonna include some stuff from Reading too (hopefully 2000, more likely 2001).

A nostalgia set this year would be brilliant - R is easily their best album imo.
