I didn't even know that The Clash were playing!  wink.gif

Seriously though, the main clash for me is Friday Night where I would love to be able to see Flaming Lips headling Other as well as Gorillaz at the Pyramid & The Orb at Clubhenge.

I'm also going to be missing out on Vampire Weekend due to Nouvele Vague at West Holts, but figured that VW are more likely to tour & be accessible in the forseeable future than NV + I would already be at West Holts for Bonobo so don't have to go back & forth between West Holts, Pyramid & Other stages.

But then it's never possible to see all the acts you want to see at Glastonbury, so some sacrfices have to be made. Anyway, quite often some of the best acts you can end up seeing are people you never even heard of!

I'd love to see ALL the Friday headliners! What a choice! Think it will be the Gorrilaz in the end though. Or the Orb!  laugh.gif

Clashes I can handle when there are acts I like spread evenly throughout the weekend. This year's lineup for me has been a right pisser though.

Last night I listed the 10 acts I want to see most. Only 1 (Candi Staton) is on Saturday. Of the other 9, there are 3 clashes, 2 of which are a 3 way clash.

Only when I am watching Ray Davies and Candi will I be able to enjoy without fearing I've made a wrong decision!!

Dear Badlands - please try not to do this, enjoy where you are at that time and forget about the ones you are missing.
No regrets and have a great time!

I think with the size of the site and number of people there (and dare I say the prospect of mud...) it's impossible to try and plan too much.  It's better to make sacrifices and see entire sets than attempt to juggle too many eggs in the same basket.

The one that's getting to me is the whole...

18.10 - 19.00 Ellie Goulding
18.30 - 19.30 Vampire Weekend
19.20 - 20.10 Florence & The Machine
19.30 - 20.30 Mumford & Sons
19.10 - 20.00 The Big Pink
20.00 - 21.00 Dizzee Rascal

...Clash.

18.10 - 19.00 Ellie Goulding
18.30 - 19.30 Vampire Weekend
19.20 - 20.10 Florence & The Machine
19.30 - 20.30 Mumford & Sons
All relevant to me - I don't like the Pyramid, so scrap VW (yay scrappage scheme).
Going to see Florence on Thursday.
Just need to get myself to JP, simple tongue.gif

Surely you have to add Reverand and the Makers into the Clash for that time slot as well.
It seems strange to have so many 'Radio 1' friendly acts on at the same time when they are so few of them on other days.
Not saying this is a bad thing just seems a bit of poor planning to have so many current popular bands all on at same time when on the Saturday and Sunday there seems a hell of a lot less

There is only one clash that would be too unbearable to comprehend for me, and that might not even happen:

I Am Kloot (Queens Head) v Ray Davies (Pyramid Stage).

I am presuming the Queens Head running times are wholly different to the Pyramid Stage, so it's possible they won't come close to clashing, but I'm wary of it nonetheless.

PLEASE don't clash.

The Florence and Mumord clash is really annoying.

Should be able to see a fair chunk of Vampire Weekend before wandering off to see one of those two though.

I'm hoping Mumford & Sons will be the Special Guests at the Park on the Saturday

The two clashes that seem daftest to me are Snoop Dogg vs Chali 2na and High Contrast vs Subfocus. If you're only going to have 2 Drum & Bass acts on over the weekend, why on earth would you put them on at exactly the same time? Colossally un-joined up thinking.

That said I'll probably be sat on my backside chatting balls to friends and miss the lot anyway.

And thanks to Spotify, I've discovered McIntosh Ross - who are also in the same slot; following Turin Brakes on the Accoustic. Doh ........ ohmy.gif
