QUOTE (BenchBuddah @ Jun 7 2010, 07:16 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Incorrect. As with all acts it is totally subjective so statements like 'X are the worst act ever' or 'Y are the best live act' hold literally zero weight.
But clearly thats the OPs opinion, fair enough if he stated it as fact as he'd be wrong.
Fpr the record I just find Muse boring, they're clearly a good band but they do f**k all for me.

Because ive seen them a few times, Im considering watching someone else this year.
Although when this keeps popping up on my random playlist, the very first few seconds keep making me change my mind.
Not many tunes start like that.

What you, the OP (yes, you) were stretching for was "I don't think Muse are very good".
Hope this helps.

i don't even like muse all that much. but i'm considering seeing them just because i reckon they'll have wanted to pull out all the stops to outdo U2...

Sorry wut:
Off blackholes
along with super masive blackhole
So yes i think you might be slightly disturbed there. (No not as good as new born and others off of OoS.) Strange I always forget Absolution excists actually.
Anyway troll topic. the new album is excellent, Muse have always been a bit overblown, they just have the budget and demand to do it more now!
Its going rule epesh when they release the UFO on the field! People not seeing them are going to regret it, and lets not forget FULL FRIGING ORCHESTRA for glasto!

i'm not really sure why i started this thread - i suppose it was trolling - although i had to look up what it meant!
i do think glasto is a lot about positivity and i'm not saying i hate them or they are shite - unfortunately i missed out the "in my opinion" bit as i agree that everyone is entitled to opinions.
i have really tried to "get into them" - i mean they must be headlining for a reason - right?
as a matter of course i downloaded most of muse's albums and gave them a good listen and i came to the conclusion that although i appreciate muse's musical ability, which i can't deny is impressive, to me they don't excite me in any way, i find them extremely uninspiring, formulaic and cliched and very little in the way of "rock" irony. in short tiresome to listen to. his voice especially is like a 14 year old whinging and whining to his mum.
i am really stumped as to why they are so popular as i believe they lack a certain 'erm how shall i say it - "i don't know what"
. i can't believe that just because they put on a good show that means they constitute as headline material when they seem to be lacking something special - in my opinion!

Well I tell ya, I now think I am set for muse because of this thread....
Had a wee few to drink tonight and been talking to the OH as to if we should go see the pet shop boys or muse at G, I have recently got into muse and love all of their albums, but I am going to see them play wembley stadium in september....
What you guys think.... do I see them at galsto or see someone else? do you think they will be better at glasto or one of their own gigs? I don't mind seeing them twice, but I am having trouble deciding what to do at G, BTW I have never seen them live....
grateful for any consults!!

I honestly believe Muse will give a better performance than the pet shop boys. A band who were dodging fruit on a lower slot 10 years ago.

.like Muse a lot but latest album is shite in fairness - was going to give em a miss originally but with u2 pulling out I think I will need a pyramid headliner rock fix - so apocalyptic rockaria it is !

I know its wierd I love all those songs to! But I just seem...to forget about it as an album, I don't know why really, I just tend to see them as individual songs. Its odd, I guess.

Well the good thing about Glastonbury is you can easily be elsewhere
2007 I'm not a fan of the arctic monkeys so I went to the other stage for Bjork it really is that simple the site is huge
Also I disagree I saw them a Leeds a while back and it was bloody brilliant.

I had the pleasure of seeing Muse at Rock am Ring on Saturday night, they were awesome as always. They busted out a massive UFO during the encore which took down MTV coverage for 30 mins, it was amazing! Check it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYYz5Uof27U
