this is the most headf**king thing, it has happened to me a good few times at the cider bus, then because of the cider keep telling the person that i cant believe he/she is not a man/woman all the time.

I think many people find 'nastiness' and 'bravado' on internet forums pathetic due to the fact that people on here are anonymous and can't be held accountable for the things they say. There are several serial nobheads on this site and it's infuriating because you know that in real life they wouldn't say the things they on this forum to your face: Mainly because they are cowardly and, in some cases, probably only 12 years old lol.

I dont like people waving flags when im trying to watch a band but im not going to call them a twat or threaten to rip their throat out, and this is a recent example of the abuse that can be read on the forum.

Totally agree with you that a little respect goes a long way but a lot of the abuse that goes on on here is just good natured banter. I suspect that the examples you cite above were at least a little tongue in cheek, or at least I hope they were. That said there have been a couple of instances of late where I think things have gone over the top. The various ebay and touting threads would be a prime example.
