Someone else signed for the tickets.

They let someone else sign for them with no ID?
And yet they would let me sign for my daughters tickets at our home address? WTF?

(see my previous post)

I'd suggest that everyone with See Tickets and DX Security issues send an email to the Glastonbury office to let them know the extent of the problems this year.

My take is that See Tickets care even less now than in the past and they've farmed out ticket delivery to the cheapest operation in the country to maximise their margins.

email to complain to:   office@glastonburyfestivals.co.uk

I completely agree and I'll be doing that myself!

It's a shame really, a lot of the gigs i go to the tickets are sourced through see or gigs and tours, and i've never had a problem.

Could someone not send an email to the Glastonbury office and just give them a link to this forum? One email will probably not have too much of an impact but if we gave them access to where everyone has vented their anger then perhaps they will take heed and look into it some more.

I was (if you can call it) lucky in the fact that my first experience with DX was a few weeks ago before the Faithless gig at Brixton so I knew how they operated after not attempting to deliver my tickets but saying it had failed as I wasn't in (which I was). So this time, I just let them try and deliver (which of course they didnt) and re-arranged delivery to my work address which miraculously worked.

Looks like they cant handle flats, no idea what their problem is with this!!

There are too many threads to indicate the true scale of the problem, many of them buried way down in the forum now.

It only takes a minute or so for each of us to send an email and the more they receive the more likely they are to act on it for next year.

I know this isn't much of a consolation to those having problems with DX, but it's possible that this contract was negotiated when the Royal Mail strikes were still fresh in the minds of the festival / See.

A week or two's strike impact, if it had been unfortunate enough to hit now, would have caused mayhem on an unimaginable scale. Personally, if I'd been awarding the contract, the strikes would have made me very concerned about depending on the Royal Mail, given that the duration of strike impact would be roughly the same as the window in which ticket delivery would occur. i.e. An extreme case could mean that the majority of tickets would not arrive.

Whether or not DX is the right 'non Royal Mail' choice is another debate of course.

Another one to add to the list of fed up customers.

Got a card through the door last week, and re-arranged delivery for today at work. Gave them the full address & postcode, and waited all day (I normally come home at 1.30). The status on the website said "out for delivery" all day. Left at 4.50, having seen nobody unusual all day (my desk is right next to the main entrance). Left my passport there with somebody else just in case they turned up later, but by the time I got home, the status on the website had changed "we have attempted a delivery". Oh no they hadn't.

So now it is past the 4pm deadline for a delivery tomorrow, and it's on to Thursday.

Will I fare any better then?

Any redelivery has to have I.D. I know it's bad in your case, but it's the same for any redelivery.

I would advise everybody still waiting for an email from DX to email them at Glastonbury@securemail.co.uk. I emailed them enquiring on which date my tickets would be sent out.

I received a reply almost immediately with  the tracking number for my tickets and the message

'I can confirm that we have your tickets. You can book a suitable delivery date to your home, work, 2nd residential at www.thedx.co.uk/delivery or let me have these details and I can book them for you.'

That was on Monday lunchtime, I asked for them to be sent out today and I received them before noon.

It seems that the best way is to go direct to them through the email above.

I hope this works for you guys.

I received no email or card through the door. Rang up yesterday and they said they were due to be delivered on the 14th, "bit late for me" I said, so she immediately offered to deliver them today. Been up since 8, not left the flat and I can even see the front door from where I've been sat all day. Still nothing.

The point is, I had ID, just not the three on the card, which say "eg...passport, driving licence of credit card"
In my book, eg means for example, therefore something else will do, as long as it has her name and address on it.. I had pleny of other things, but he wouldnt take any of them.

Ridiculous. what a jobswoth. Even the woman at Glastonbury called hm that

We had a card left (they said on Sunday) the they came to redeliver my daughters tickets today.

She wasnt here, and the idiot refused to leave the tickets as i didnt have her passport, driving licence, or bank card. The calling card said "EG...passport, driving licemce or bank card"  As far as I knew that means for example, not that its set in stone. I had plenty of other stuff with her name and address on, but he refused them all.
I offered my ID, same surname, no, he wouldnt have any of it.
So he left with her tickets.

This is ridiculous. This is the address that she ordered the tickets from, and had them delivered to. Does he think Im a burglar waiting for the Glastonbury tickets so I can steal them?
Id waited in all day for the tickets.

Please Glastonbury, dont use these jobsworths again. there are far better courier services out there.

same happened here.  my mate used my address for delivery as she works 2 jobs and has irregular days off.  i missed the first delivery but luckily was warned when i called to arrange a redelivery that i'd need her id.  i found it bizarre though as apparently this is only their policy for redelivery, not initial delivery.

bring back royal mail.

now starting to panic! had an email today to say our tickets and been delivered and signed for on saturday! guess what? no tickets! we were in when they said they had delivered them so god knows who has signed for them but it wasnt us!! we also never had an email to say they were on the way!

we tried to get through to DX who then passed us on to seetickets who are hopefully trying to sort it tomorrow through customer services. they said that they will send us a copy of the photo of the delivery dress and a copy of the signature - im hoping that theyve gone to a nice honest neighbour but since its now 4 days since they delivered them im a little worried!! huh.gif

Got email from see tickets saying tickets had been passed to DX and they would be in touch to arrange a delivery time, then heard nothing from DX until email yesterday saying they had attempted delivery and failed.  People were in the house all day and no card was left.  Have now rearranged for tomorrow so fingers crossed.

I'm glad I read this thread though because hadn't noticed the fact that ID is requested on redeliveries!
