Just wondering if your getting a taxi to the festival where do you get dropped off & is there much of a walk from drop off point to the actual festival, or do you get dropped off inside the car park or bus station area?

last time i went (2007)we got taxi from bristol airport (shared with some folk in the queue) and takes you to festy bus station which is a few miles away.
Then you get bus from there to festy.

I've heard the buses to festy bus station are 24hr, better be since the last(and only) bus to bristol on the sunday from festy is at 5pm (that is pure pants) so i will have to get to the festy bus station after stevie wonder and get a cab from there.

Where are you taxi-ing from. there are shuttle buses from Castle Cary I think. The drop off will be the same or worse for a taxi as a bus.

The problem with a taxi is the potential to be stuck in traffic with the meter running - this could be a disaster.

I'm sure a local taxi driver would know enough of the area to go an alternate route. Just don't tell ukslim that he took an alternate route however

Yea I was worried about that so I have pre-booked the taxi and have pre-arranged the fare, but I reckon they’ll know the back routes to avoid the jams (hopefully I want to see the footy!)
