I'll definately be going to Baggy Mondays, I've heard great things!

Optimo will be unmissable. I'd suggest anyone who likes Electronic music to go, they'll blow you away.

Just been having a go on Spotify but can't find anything to get into - any  tracks you'd recommend?

There not an act, they're DJs. They ran the most sucessful clubnight in Glasgow for years and it just recently finished.

Optimo

Well worth checking out.

What sort of tunes are we talking - can't find anything on their site (and strangely links under Optimo Music lead me to a heavy metal band on MySpace)?

Sounds pretty good, if i happen to be in that part of the festival and hopefully remember this i'll check em out. Actually, my only hope of catching them is if i happen to wander in by chance...  rolleyes.gif

I've been along to Baggy Mondays for the last two years.  Stumbled upon the Stonebridge Bar accidentally the first time when Guilty Pleasures were on whilst camped on Pennard Hill.  Was loving Guilty Pleasures then Baggy Mondays, well.... for someone who never got to go to the Hacienda, this was the first time I'd been out in a clubby atmosphere and hearing the tunes that I'd been loving over the years.  Last year was great and my friends and I can't wait to go again this year.  With Two Door Cinema Club and Local Natives playing earlier too, it's a fantastic start to proceedings biggrin.gif

Another day, another shed load of DJ sets announced.

Each to their own and all that but can we have some more proper bands please? There seems to be masses of dance stuff on already.

If I want to listen to someone else play some records* I'll go to my mates house.

*Eh up Grandad!

Sunday
2-4am – Heavenly Jukebox presents HVN JBX
12-2am – Very Special Guests
8pm-12am – break
7-8pm - RackNRuin
5-7pm – Man Like Me (DJ set)
3-5pm – Mr Shiver (Size Doesn’t Matter)
1-3pm – Jeff Barrett (Heavenly Jukebox)

My guest is the Very Special Guests will the Chemical Brothers...  They would fit into this line-up musically and have close links with the Heavenly Jukebox crew from when they were residents at their party back in Turnmills.

Just a thought...

What sort of music will be played at Baggy Mondays, am I presuming it will be a 'Madchester' style DJ set?

Managed to miss Baggy Mondays the last couple of years but want to get there this year (also after seeing Two Door Cinema Club plus probably Egyptian Hip Hop) - how early does it get packed i.e. do we need to get there well before they actually start? Its a bar so not too stressed about having to get there early!!
