QUOTE (garethslee @ Jun 3 2010, 03:29 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

She writes for the Daily Heil, of course she doesn't get it!

QUOTE
"I was able to crouch outside my tent (put up by me, after a great deal of phoning the Millets hotline, with no help at all from a trio of drunken men in the next row, and despite the useless, made-from-potato-starch, biodegradable, cow-friendly tent pegs provided on entry) and brush my teeth with my Philips Sonicare (which, being damp and lacking electricity, was on a bit of a go-slow) and rinse by swigging from a bottle of Pellegrino. And by then I'd lost my tweezers."

Hope that wasn't a glass bottle the silly cow was chugging from. Seriously people like her boil my piss and are the last people I want at Glasto!

At least the caption admits it. Still misleading.

I think it's a comedy piece though. I think she must be "in character" to some extent.

Oh yeah just noticed that. Liz Jones is a horrible person.

She's a bitch who hasn't a f**king clue and just likes to be judgemental and nasty about anything she doesn't understand.

Well hopefully it'll discourage similarly miserable Daily Mail types from turning up to the festival.

It was quite a funny read though (not in the way it was meant to be...if it was meant to be?).  She really doesn't get it.

Personally I'd like to see the proof she was actually there, the piece reads like she'd rounded up the pre and misconceptions about festivals and rattled them out.

As for the photo being a composite of two pictures. Only two? I can make 4 different ones out there, and am undecided whether there are actually 6.

Yeah I find it pretty hard to believe that she actually attended the event.

I really hope so but it is the Mail so i'd surmise not unfortunately. Also for somebody who's supposedly a "fashionista" she's f**king rank!

Come on people, she should always be referred to as "Liz-f**kin-Jones"!  laugh.gif

For explanation, see HERE

EDIT: A classic piece of Liz-f**kin-Jones being, well, Liz-f**kin-Jones HERE

Really? I think it's two:

1. A stock photo of bins, with some stalls in the background and people milling around
2. Her sat in front of a tent; probably not taken at the festival.

The caption admits that it's photoshopped because I made a complaint to the Press Complaints Commision about it.

I would have complained about the whole articel but it is worded in such a way that she states no facts only opinions and heresay.  |So she isnt strictly speaking lying it's just that Liz Jones experiences thoughts and opinions seem to be almost the exact opposite of the rest of the 175000 people who were there.

I guess it was a fairly petty of me to complain but maybe it is worth it if it costs the press time and effort and Inconvenience (which this did), every time they lie.

What a miserable cow, and cheeky to boot. Having said that, she was sent to Glastonbury to write a negative article. If she’d come back having had the time of her life, raving about free love and how great the Stone Circle is at 7am, it would never have been published.

Well, yes. To be fair, she begins the article by describing exactly now she's a freak. Can't touch a doorhandle? Can't watch Withnail and I? That's not normal.

Unlucky that someone threw up on her shoes, eh?

Definitely more than two...Look at the bottom of the bins on the right. To me, it really doesn't look right tongue.gif

Not entirely. I can't remember paying anything like £3 for a bottle of water to be fair.

She fits in perfectly with the rest of the daily mail then!

Reading that she either didn't bother to go or she's simply a twat
