Last year we just got an email from Hearthworks, sent to the person who booked the tipi.

Just dug the email out from last year and it was sent on the 10th June. It did end up in the spam folder on gmail as well so it was even later by the time we found it.

Thanks al - out of interest, what was the procedure to get it?  I figured we would go with the ticket that purchased the tipi and get wrist bands, but not sure where...

cheers for replying smile.gif

There was a reception tipi at the gate to the tipi village where you can pick up your wristbands.

The email from last year says this:

"On arrival at our field, please check in at the Tipi Reception and quote the lead booking name in your group. The Reception is open from 9.00 AM until 12.00 PM midnight so please only arrive during these times. Remember to allow sufficient time for queuing traffic, parking and the walk across site."

I have the same problem - tickets received but nothing about the tipi so decided to e-mail hearthworks (who hire the tipis to the site) as I didn't have a clue how it works so was freaking-out a little bit, seems like it's all in hand:

Hi
Thanks for your enquiry.
We will be sending everyone a mail very soon who booked a Glastonbury Festival Tipi.
The Tipis are allocated on a first come first served basis, but you will not be given a choice of Tipis.
best wishes
Tara

I'm sure it'll be along the same lines as last year then, the main thing is to remain calm!!

Just received the e-mail:

The Tipi Village and Tipi Field are situated adjacent to the Stone Circle Field on the side leading towards the Park Stage. (You will easily be able to find the Stone Circle Field in your guide.) It overlooks the site from the hillside at the top of the Green Fields. There is another, smaller Tipi camp adjacent to the Park Stage. Your Tipi Camping Village is adjacent to the Tipi Field and the Stone Circle Field, just across the top of the site from the Park Stage. Please ensure you come to the correct Tipi camp!

On arrival at the Festival, please try and enter the site on Orange or Yellow Route and park in one of the West Car Parks and enter the site through Orange or Yellow Gate on the West side of the site. The walk up to the Tipis is a longer one from the Blue Route (East side.)

You need to expect a twenty minute walk up to the Tipis across the site, so be prepared to carry all your bags and bedding: a luggage trolley could be useful if you are heavily laden! The entrance to the Tipi Village Reception is just next to the EARTHEART CAFE, which is on the gravel track going across the bottom of the Tipi Field to the Park Stage.

On arrival at our field, please check in at the Tipi Reception and quote the lead booking name in your group. YOU DO NOT RECEIVE AN ACTUAL TICKET FOR THE TIPI. The Reception is open from 9.00 AM until 12.00 PM midnight so please only arrive during these times. Remember to allow sufficient time for queuing traffic, parking and the walk across site.

Looks like it's the same as last year from what others have posted above.

Either way, it's now full steam ahead!
