Hi
We're going to Glasto this year as a group of around 20 and for the 1st time have decided to give it a go in a campervan!! so we have hired a few however 2 of our group couldn't afford to so are going in a tent! I read on the Glasto website that you can park 1 car and have 1 tent pitched behind your campervan, so they have emailed them to check and all seems ok, I was just wondering IF they will be able to get into the campervan field as they are arriving later then us, so how will they be able to enter as obviously they don't have a campervan ticket?! We will need ours or our van i would assume?? fThey will be coming in their car aswell, so wondering how this will work? If anyone knows?
Thanks
Rach

I didnt think there was an entitlement to park a car with a campervan but I may be wrong. However, getting into the campervan field without a ticket will be difficult, they will have to try and blag it past security, I suggest they will be sent back to the car parks and made to walk to where you are.

Can my car be kept beside the caravan in the campervan/caravan field?
Yes, there is space for one car to be parked beside the caravan. However, any other member of your party arriving separately by car will need to purchase a car parking ticket for £15 and park in the public car parks. For more information on car parking tickets, see the Tickets page for details.

Can I pitch a tent beside my caravan/campervan?
The Fire Officer will not allow ticket-holders to camp beside campervans or cars due to the risk of contiguous fire, but it is permitted to camp behind the campervan.
~ Looks like the car can only be parked together if entrance is at the same time. I would imagine it will be OK to camp by you as the camper field is outside of the fence and has pedestrian gate access through it? I've not been before but this is the way I've read it. We'll be in Campervan east.

They'll have no probs getting in to the campervan field by foot, as it's not fenced off or owt, they won't be able to drive in and park next to you. You shouldn't have a problem setting up a tent behind the van as long as it's not the size of half a football field. I've never experienced anyone having a problem. I've even camped on the ridge near the hill of death, where the ground starts to drop away to the fence.
Your mates will have to buy a car park ticket and come in on the blue route, so they can park right next to the East campervan fields.

Thanks for the info guys!! Thats what I was worried about! Them trying to park up next to us! It will be hassle enough getting parked without taking a wrong turn!!!! Pretty sure our van isint that big only a 4 berth and there tent is only a 2 man so should have ample room!!!!
Cant wait!!!!! Just need my ticket now!!
Or at least an email to say they are on there way!!!!!
