They are largely bollocks and provide little, but a fun read nonetheless. I remember being entertained reading that Radiohead had asked everyone from Turin Breaks, Supergrass or whoever, to play Creep back in 2003.
I think from 2008 they stopped having people handing them out, found them much harder to find, but still managed to do as above, get up early, get some munch, and head back to camp and wake everyone up.

I always find mine on the floor.
The Q daily has many uses:
Rain hat
Handy arse sized seat
Firestarting equipment
Emergency loo paper (if you have to!)
If you get bored, you could also try reading it.

QUOTE (wacko @ May 30 2010, 04:47 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I really hope its not true, every morning last year I got up at about 8 walked down to the market place got a pint of milk and 4 copies of the paper. took them back to the camp site and woke up the rest of my group with a cuppa and a morning paper.
my mate does this too. just one of the many reasons she's my mate.

the paper is a perfect start to the day when all you want to do is just sit at the tent for a couple of hours to ease into the day ahead.
the only problem is actually going to get one.
wacko, do you do deliveries?

QUOTE (budvar @ May 30 2010, 05:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Fairly sure they're still producing the 'mini' guide thatyou get in your goodie bag - it's mentioned in The Fine Guide.
I'm going to sound like an old git but I swear the Q Daily gets a little bit less relevant and useful every year. Still hope it's there though.
Does everyone get a goodie bag?

OK thanks, and what sort of thing does it include apart from the guardian thing?

Usually a fabric bag, large guide, lanyard & mini guide. Both have band times in.
Don't think there is anything else, but my memory is unsuprisingly hazy

That would be ok - it's always too busy in there anyway. The guide, though, is an essential piece of Glastonbury bumf.

I always carry around the large programme cos it's the only one with all the small stages in.
Usually find a Q Daily on the floor in the west holts (jazzworld) field or go to the info point if I pass there early enough.

In this months edition of Q ,the editor says in his monthly letter that they will be publishing it daily.

Q radio has stopped broadcasting on DAB so they're obviously making cutbacks. Their Glasto coverage should be safe though

Also one of my highlights of each Glastonbury morning. I always try and grab one of these papers

Good point, I forgot about that. I sometimes think of picking one up but then remember I'm not *that* bothered

Halvin clashfinder is probable the best source of information for line ups and how to get reliable information on the guest spots is anyone's guess. Worthy FM, Q iphone app or knowing some one on one of the stages would be my best guess.
