I heard a rumour that there's going to be no daily paper this year at Glasto can anyone confirm or deny this?

I hope this isn't true. Loved getting those papers.

I sincerely hope this is not true. The daily paper has become as much a part of my Glastonbury routine as drinking a pint of hot n spicy cider, visiting the Brothers bar, going up to the Stone Circle, eating from the Carribean stall and falling asleep in a state with one of my feet in the bonfire
I also think it's one of the many little things that, when combined, adds up to make Glastonbury feel special, and make the Glastonbury goer feel like part of the festival rather than just a customer.
Would be easy to understand with the finanical strife that the print media is going through at the moment, though.

I really hope its not true, every morning last year I got up at about 8 walked down to the market place got a pint of milk and 4 copies of the paper. took them back to the camp site and woke up the rest of my group with a cuppa and a morning paper.

Fairly sure they're still producing the 'mini' guide thatyou get in your goodie bag - it's mentioned in The Fine Guide.
I'm going to sound like an old git but I swear the Q Daily gets a little bit less relevant and useful every year. Still hope it's there though.

Agreed! There definitely seemed to be a reduction in either numbers printed or places to get them.

Yeah, actually, think you're right, but they're not having their stage there this year.

Q defo said in the mag that they are doing them so awesome,
and yeah Guardian seem to have just pulled the stage, I guess they still want the advertising!

They are available at the info points so unless the number of info points has changed they still have the same number of places giving it out.QUOTE (Ommadawn @ May 30 2010, 06:02 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Just look on the ground. A large proportion end up scattered around the site
