I have been successful in the presale (still have to try get a ticket on monday though) but still wandering whether I should try get a ticket

What is Roger Waters like live? 80 quid is a lot of money for a single gig, especially since I am a student so the price of the whole trip would be over 200 quid

I'm a huge floyd fan, will it be worth it?

It'd be cool if he did Glasto 2011. When is he touring?

I believe Roger Waters is the man responsible for creating in me a strange mixture of boredom and anger at the Pyramid field that time. I ran away to see Cornelius instead.

However, Floyd fans loved it. So if Floyd is your thing, you'll probably want tickets.

The Roger Water's Wall Concert in Berlin on 21 July 1990 was the best Concert I have ever seen .

Held in Potsdamer Platz (a location which was part of the former "no-man's land" of the Berlin Wall the concert was even bigger than the Pink Floyd era ones { which lucky enough I was also able to attend }, as Waters built a 550-foot long and 82-foot high wall, which was broken down in the same show.

The show had a sell-out crowd of over 200,000 people, and right before the performance started the gates were opened to the concert and an additional 100,000 to 500,000 (estimates vary) people from East Berlin were able to enter for free so we are talking about a huge audience.

When you add in the cost to attend that concert its cheaper now than what it was then although I doubt the 02 will be as good as Berlin but as its likely that Roger Waters will not do another major tour it has to be worth it.

all the dates are listed here http://tour.rogerwaters.com/tour/

Not my bag at all, but if you're a fan, then definitely worth it. Something you'll remember, something special, yeah, worth spending a few quid on it, I reckon.

Pre-sale linkies for all 3 London gigs plus 1 of the Manc gigs currently lurking in an inbox near me biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Still don't have a particularly good feeling about actually securing golden tix mind you but at least I'm in with a bit of a chance it would appear smile.gif

Anyways, at least the old F5 finger is very well practised and in top form as a result of numerous Glasto ticket buying sessions over the years so that's one distinct advantage over many other peeps methinks ... present company excepted of course tongue.gif

well .... it's defo x lots here biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Hope any of you guys also after tix are also v.happy bunnies right now as well smile.gif but commiserations and mucho apologies for the gloating if not sad.gif

Block A floor seats on 12th May @ O2 not only in the bag but confirmation email also in the inbox.  Only just managed to get all the details entered and confirmed within the 9 min time limit mind you as the site was running that slowly. Bit of PITA having a boxoffice collection but no big deal really and hopefully will have detered at least some of the scumbag touts from buying solely to sell on at silly money.  Bet there will still be shedloads on bl**dy ebay real soon now tho mad.gif

... wanders off almost as knackered but happy as when securing Glasto tix !

Woohoo! Happy for you mate!... I wouldn't be so happy for you of course, had I not got myself seats in the same section on the 11th of May!!!!  biggrin.gif

Agree with you on the time limit, that was a close call! Phew!!!

The worst thing about all of this of course is that it's a full year until the actual concert  dry.gif

Yeah, that and the fact the last time I bought tix quite so far in advance ... the b*gger pegged it before the gig laugh.gif Sorry, defo shouldn't joke about such things really but sadly it's true and it was also an O2 gig into the bargain ohmy.gif  Mind you, given that it's almost exactly a year away, there's absolutely no guarantee that I will be around or able to to attend either of course !  Crazy really, talk about grabbing the do$h up-front and all that rolleyes.gif  Not even going to know seat allocations for around a couple of months and no ticket to admire until collecting at the box office on the night either. Oooo, tis gonna be pretty d@mn good tho wub.gif All I gotta do now is find some local(ish) cinema who're going to run the movie as a special some time soon and I'll be a v.happy bunny.  Really fancy seeing it again after all these years but a DVD just ain't going to cut it I'm afraid smile.gif

As for Glasto 2011 ... well he played in 2002 at the end of the tour of course, in fact it was about 10 secs after he quietly revealed he was playing before swiftly removing the info that I bought my very first Glasto ticket !  The very best and most worthwhile kick up the @rse I've ever been on the receiving end of it has to be said laugh.gif
