Really? Where's that info from?

Given that Miike Snow are defo playing on the Friday and there's a Friday slot, I'm pretty certain they're the Friday guests.

Given that Crystal Castles are defo playing on the Saturday and there's a Saturday slot, I'm pretty certain they're the Saturday guests.

I might be wrong.

seriously?  Bummer.  The guests should be thom yorke and little dragon tongue.gif

I mean, crystal castles are already bringing that screechfest trainwreck to the dance village.

Yep, but somewhere (I forget where) they were revealed as playing twice. Only one set has been officially confirmed, and they're a fit for The Park, so I reckon that's the second set.

That was all from the official site - the Special Guest slots on Fri and Sat are still unfilled, but the enws story earlier on had those four in the remaining TBA slots on the Park.

yeah, I've realised now - I was thinking 'special guests' when you were talking the TBA's.

Also aren't the Villagers playing Sunday morning as TBC?  So either Avi Buffalo playing other time or there is a mistake somewhere.

WTF is going on with Villagers?! Their own website still has them as 12.30pm Sunday Park Stage. I am going to be so hacked off if they aren't there in the end  mad.gif

It was CC themselves who said they were playing twice IIRC, in an interview with NME about their new album.

And speaking of Crystal Castles, has anyone seen them before?  Yikes.

Although disappointing i think Neil is right about the special guests. not very special at all then.....

exactly...just filler really. should have all been tba's because that's what it sounds like they are.

a real shame because the Park seems like a great place to put someone up as a surprise, especially when you consider that the hill allows for quite an overflow crowd (and a perfect amphitheatre setting) if it was really a band of the "crowd safety"-type as hyped last yr with Jack White's 3rd best band.

sunday park slots being filled puts final end to my last dash hope of Gaslight Anthem playing anywhere now. they surely aren't the tba/guests in the Pussy Parlure! or Avalon. it's incredible how they ended up on the original announcement and yet after what they did last yr, are nowhere to be seen now.

I can't believe that Neil is right about those special guests. I mean they could just announce those now, and it would be no great shakes. Anyway, I've just noticed that one of The Klaxons is DJing in The Park area on Friday, so maybe they're going to be the special guest 2 years running.

*Revives* No use in starting a new thread for small speculation but any chance of The Brian Jonestown Massacre? They finish their US tour on the 22nd or something..

It won't be 100,000.

Only 65,000 watched the match that got shown a few years ago when there wasn't entertainment happening at the same time.

So I'd guess that it'll be perhaps 40,000 at most that will watch an England match on the Saturday or Sunday, if there's actually an England match on then.

Glastonbury are the ones with the experience to deal with these sorts of things. Given that they very rarely get such things wrong, and that the consequences come back on them if they do, then I reckon it's very unlikely there'll be an issue.

They got it wrong with rolf last year.. I was glad to get out of the melee right at back whilst hundreds of others were moving towards the jazz stage from all entrances. No sign of stewards controlling bottlenecks. I did feel all that safe

In fairness I'm guessing that what Neils said now is right so no need to speculate without any information.

Don't think Brian Jonestown Massacre are banned as they played Pyramid in 2008. Didn't do anything onstage that I remember would be worthy of gettig banned.
