who is surprised that certain artists aren't playing this year?
I don't mean all the hype regarding headliners, but the people who play quite often or have new material out.
For me it's James, Goldfrapp, Rufus Wainwright, Keane.
Ive got a list as long as my arm of smaller artists that aren't playing who have new material but not everyone can play

Wilco, for the second year in a row i'm baffled. they play lots of festivals, always have a busyish summer tour schedule, but no glasto since '04! why?
The Waterboys, Sharon Shannon, Squeeze, Jools Holland for old time's sake
(obviously) Robert Plant, Chems
Patti Smith (only because she's playing another euro festie, so assumed this one too)
any past headliner well past their prime coming back to play an early or late afternoon slot on the Pyramid or elsewhere (Manics, Suzanne Vega, Moby, Primal Scream, Travis) ... rather than just two, and both of them going head-to-head against Stevie Wonder on Sun night (Ash, Levellers)
