BUT THIS IS THE FIRST GLASTONBURY WITH A FULL MOON!!!!

Yup i wondered if it would be - after checking the exact time (to the minute) it will be 11.32 saturday morning. It will be ace - hope for clear nights

I'm sure there was one three or four years ago. It looked massive and there was something about it being nearer to Earth than for many years. Might not have been a proper full moon though

How do you know these sorts of things? Are you some sort of Moon-Spotter? Have you checked out the status of the moon every time you're at Glastonbury for the last 40 years? Bizarre.

Just checked - there was a full moon on Wednesday June 22nd 2005 so strictly speaking it wasn't during the festival weekend itself.

i'm somewhat obsessed with the phases of the moon because spring tides occur with a full and new moon......and that means the Severn Bore will be working, usually with me riding it.
