I read that and I suddenly became a little concerned that I am starting a course in Forensic Psychology. Hope I don't get buggered on my first day :P

Agreed, a long time ago someone posted a news site which had lots of investigative journalism videos which were really interesting. I tink the site was american with a liberal leaning, anybody know of any similar sites?

Why exactly was this a problem?

What was he supposed to do, attempt to arrest 15 people single handedly and get the %^*$ kicked out of him?  :P

I'm not saying it should be in the police manual. But an important part of a cop's job is to protect people and property, and to keep the peace. In that situation, particularly given the tension that still exists between the police and some Catholics, I think the ends justified the means.

How f**ked are things in Europe?

I keep thinking about maybe coming home but then I read another story about how bad things are (obviously taking into account the whole 'bad news sells' thing) and I just end up thinking, nah maybe not yet.
