To my dismay I have today learned of my sons plans to attend the Glastonbury Festival next month.

Obviously I am extremely concerned about this - Patrick is only 27 years old and has never left Switzerland before.  From what I understand this festival is attended by drunks, pickpockets and even people from the country of Wales.

Would someone please be able to give me some reassurance regarding his safety?

With thanks and good day to you all.

I've never been to Wals but it sounds only four-fifths as good as Wales, and that's not a great recommendation!

Oh, you corrected it!!!

The drunks stopped going years ago, just plain old heroin addicts these days.

'The size of wales' is an official unit of measurement in media circles

Along side 'double deckerbus' and 'football pitch'

This has to be a joke right.. he's 27!?  :P

If it isn't then don't worry... in my experience everyone is amazingly friendly.. although whenever :P  100,000+ people get together in a field there will always be a few bad apples, but you have to be pretty unlucky to run into them...

He will have the time of his life!   :P

Often ends with an awkward moment as you realise you've just grabbed their crotch.
