Right, well nothing happened when I hit the red button, didn't investigate any further!

-1 for me on this!!

As much as I like the guy as a musician and person - WELL fit is not a word that I would associate with ol' Maxi, quite the opposite without meaning to be too rude.

Such an awful line up for this festival, only really that T4 thing is worse, no wonder it's free, out of the lineup today, there's only 2 bands I'd ever want to see(stornoway and faithless). Though like everyone else it was nice to see faithless, knowing that they'll be at glasto in a month, they looked amazing  :P

All very disappointing really; best act i saw was Alicia Keys.
It all sounded pretty rubbish on the telly and i've got a decent telly
the crowd seemed to enjoy Insomnia?

did anyone see/hear MGMT yesterday?

wondering if they threw any hits into their 'festival set', after all the stories of them refusing to play kids etc at their recent gigs in favour of their new material.

not that massive a fan of their new stuff and trying to decide whether to go and see them at glasto or not

(obviously, i know fine well that all this planning will go out the window sharpish when i get there, but it's fun to plan  :P )

no didn't see but everyone one on R1 BWE were bigging them up saying how good they'd been; maybe there will be other highlights of them shown?

Saying that, Edith Bowman and co were kissing the arse of everyone so it was hard to get a feel of what was hot / what was not.

MGMT are online on the Big Weekend site now!

They looked pretty good but the crowd were just dreadful and killed it. Hopefully the Glasto crowd will be a 'bit' more in tune with the new album.

I know I do, I really f**king do.

Just, it wont be as euthoric.

Although, skankin and spliffin to the likes of Funky kingston, pressure drop etc etc would be epic..

Then we have the other hand.. GOD IS A DJ, WE COME ONE etc etc while pill'd off my face.. AHHHHHHHHHHH :P

I think i'll need some seriously thinking..  :P

I am choosing Faithless due their proximity to Stevie Wonder and the fact that I have seen Toots at Glastonbury before but not Faithless. If these factors don't affect you (i.e - if you've done Faithless at Glastonbury before and/or aren't bothered or can manage the hike for Stevie Wonder) then I seriously recommend Toots - just magical!

As for last night's 1BW coverage - I loved Florence - and oddly really enjoyed Tinie Tempah once I picked myself up off the floor from laughing at his ridiculous underpants/trouser arrangement!

I also thought Alicia Keys was great - strangely I did see her at radio 1's previous summer incarnation - One Big Sunday - I knew here voice would be just as good live but she has a much stronger stage presence than I would've expected.

If you think about it logically,

It's a sunday evening, you need to wind down a little bit, save all your energy for Stevie but still dance at the same time if you feel like it?

What can be better than doing this to the delights of the toots and the maytals :P

Personally I found Toots every bit as energetic as Faithless!
