Do you reckon he pressed Esc, Alt + F4??

Whether he was a kiddy diddler or not, the Lancashire Hotpots are class. 2009 at the Avalon was ace  ;)

regards the music? not a bit.

if robert plant went out and molested a child and killed him, would stairway to heaven not be a good tune anymore?

It would lose a lot of its lustre that's for sure.

Hint: not that many people listen to Gary Glitter's records any more and that's not just because they are out of date now.

Some obviously still listen.  He probably has a few fans left as well.  Jonathon King is probably one of them....

So you'd let the actions of someone else spoil your enjoyment of something? You'd sit there listening to a tune  thinking 'nah, not as good as it used to be before I found out something that was just as much of a fact before I knew about it'

Someone else or a member of the band I was listening to?  If the former then no, if the latter then yes it would have an affect on me.

I'll invoke Godwin's law to make my point.  If Hitler had recorded some great tunes do you think they'd be enjoyed with no taking into account his non-musical actions?  Some would enjoy them still that's for sure, but the majority of us wouldn't.

The latter.

Probably would if they were good enough but then I tend only be interested in the end result. When I'm listening to music or watching sports or TV or film the people performing don't usually cross my mind. A lot of the time I don't even know their names let alone what their favourite colour is.

A reasonable point of view.

I know I'd have a problem enjoying music if I knew one of the performers had molested a kid.

Just calm down a bit guys. He was under investigation. He wasn't found guilty of anything.

Oh and by the way, no one listens to Gary Glitter records any more cos they're shite!

Part 1 - true.  Evidence seems to point to his having transgressed but as he took his own life I doubt that they would pursue it.

Part 2 - not as true.  Some of his early 70s stuff was as iconic as many other chart acts of the time, including Slade, The Sweet, Mud etc.
