Im planning to leave the site on the Sunday night and head back to Hull but wanted to stay in a hotel/ B&B ect on the night so my mate who is driving can have a good sleep till the Monday morning.

Has anyone got any info on places they know of close (upto an hours drive away) from the site that theyve heard of or have stayed at.

Last year I booked a room  at a travelodge about an hour away from the festival site. It was at a place called Barton Stacey (1 hour) I think, there is a closer one at Amesbury Stonehenge (40 mins) but this books up quickly. At the moment you can get a room for £30. Last year it was a life saver. Left immediately after Blur and got to Barton Stacey at about 3.30. Slept until 1pm and hit the road. This year i'm getting the coach but i'd certainly recommend the travelodge option. Especially if you're driving to Hull!!

Thanks for the info, I'll check it out. We drove back straight after Blur last year and it just wasnt fair on the drivers, so cant be doing that again this year.

Thanks again  :P
