Well, I live in Wales. You Tories certainly didn't have the greatest percentage here or in Scotland :P. Between us we gave you something like 8 of your 306 seats, at the end of the day you are a very 'english' party, so us lot across the border can be as anti-Tory as we wish.
I'm not a Labour lover either, in fact I see them as capitalist as the Tories but with a bit more of a working class edge to it.

only if by 'English' you mean Eton, oxbridge educated land owners or alternatively Basildon man who's too stupid to realise that Tory's are not going to stop 'all those bloody foreigners coming over here stealing our jobs & women' but are in fact going to carry shafting them with a rolled up copy of Mrs T's memoirs as they repeat over and over 'wonderful people the Romans'....

Regardless of which way you vote, something had to be done to get rid of the rotten government that we have had recently, and I dont mean rotten by achievements I mean in terms of constant scandal and bickering, in fighting and splits.

Chances are this coalition will achieve nothing, but it will give the Labour party a massive opportunity in just a couple of years to re-invent themselves with a new strong popular leader who can mend the splits and lead properly with the full support of the party and the unions.

If Labour can do this, they will waltz the next election.

As a foot note to this, one the first things this government have done is scrap the 3rd runway at heathrow and block expansion at Gatwick and Stanstead. In my opinion this is really good news.

No don't panic this is good......

Ok, no party should be in power for ever, its not good for democracy. Labour had to lose at some point. Better to the tory's with an agenda forced to the middle ground by a compromise with the Lib Dems.
Had they worked with Labour it would have been see as a joining of two losers and destined to fail. The half harted attempt by Labour to negotiate a deal just served to raise the stakes for the tory's to the point they had to offer a referendum on alternate voting. This forces them to compromise too far. The deal will fall apart in a couple of years by a Tory party that will  tear itself to pieces.
Mean while Labour licks its wounds, keeps its hand free from  the dirty work of spending cuts and tax rises and re-emerges with a new leader to crush the tory's with a land slide and with any luck at least the next two elections after that........

See? Its all good here....yes allllll gooooood...........i see dead people......

Yeah, another labour landslide would be great;

More mass murder and wars based on phoney evdidence
Locking up prople for weeks without charge
ID Cards forced upon us
Right to trial by Jury taken away
Abolish right to protest anywher near Parliament
Waste billions on Trident

I can't wait

Oh you mean engineering a silly war on the other side of the world and blowing up a battle ship as its running away was ok then? Or selling the water, gas and electric off? Oh i know maybe not letting teachers discuss homosexuality in schools for fear of turning kids gay? Maybe a 'back to basics' campaign....while the PM and half the cabinet are shagging behind their wives backs?

Now I could sit here and defend the decisions you point out but frankly I can't be arsed....that and if I tried I wouldn't have a leg to stand on. They all stupid policies, hence my remark about no one party should be in forever.

It's all a question of balance.....weighted (slightly) towards the left of course!

I saw his speech/Q&A session in the Speakers Corner last year (I think he was just after Eavis). He really impressed me, although it seemed he was just saying what people wanted to hear.

I have no problem at all with him not making an appearance this year, he will be far too busy!  :P

I wonder if a Lib Dem MP speak instead.

How about none of the above?

So Tory boy you're welcome to your views, its your right, but so are we and your party smells of poo.
See comments like that because someone leans to the right is not needed, theres nothing wrong with a different style of thinking. Who the hell are they lefties to say there ideas are right? For some strange reason, though learning slightly to right and thinking a welfare state isn't all that great you are seen as evil.

In truth what is needed is firm middle ground, both have plus's and minuses which is hopefully what this coalition will offer.

He's to busy licking David Camerons arse, and laughing at all the students who thought voting for them would end tuition fees in the foreseeable future, when actually it has aided the lifting of the tuition fee caps.

Isn't this forum supposed to be about music/Glasto, not politics?

I tried to see Clegg last year  but either he cancelled or I was in the wrong place. Oh well. Somehow I don't see him being there this year, thankfully.
