I think this is funny!  Pay for a ticket and have an obligation to work a daily 3 hour shift!  Hehe!

Cute idea for the stall-holder - save on wages and get money selling the ticket!   :P

Mind, I'd wonder how the trader is planning on stopping the person who buys the ticket doing a runner.

Why? It's not as if they're touting. I don't have a problem with this sale to be honest.

Likewise, the stall holders pay a fortune for a pitch to trade, and free tickets are one of their perks. If they don't need staff 8 hours a day,  all they are doing is recouping some of their pitch money.

There's not a hope in hell I'd have someone working for me on the stall that I didn't know!
Not only could you not blame the person for f**king off as soon as they're in coz they'd already paid you the ticket price, but they could rob you blind and there's really not a lot you could do about it.

I guess if they f**k off he's recuperated the cost of his ticket, and i'm sure he'd get by just fine missing just one staff member, even if it means a little extra work on his part.

Yeah, I don't really understand why they want the person to work too - surely the ticket price should be enough - maybe they're just plain greedy.

maybe the offer of work is merely so that the ticket isnt being sold as such.

the stall holder must know as soon as the person is on site they'll just piss off and enjoy the festi. I'd guess they have put the 3 hours work as maybe to obtain the ticket they have to declare x amount of staff will be onsite with the stall.

If I was a stall holder I dont think I'd be trying to flog a ticket tho. If you were caught out you'd certainly lose your ptich.
