hey all, i have just got my tickets for Guilfest, YEY, so really excited, but havent been to this one before and am going alone, with my 15yr old. So whats it like? I get the feeling that its a really nice laid back fest, but just want some reassurance really

Hey Honeydew - I've been to Guifest 6 or 7 times now and am obviously completely biased but I think it is great. It has a good friendly feel and isn't rampantly commercialised (like V-fest etc). There are young people there too but not rampaging about drunk. It is just chilled and about listening to some good music and chilling. The site layout is super and the main stage is down a small hill so you can all see all day. I'm not going this year but prob will next year. Enjoy it - it should be super.

It's a bit rubbish & your stuff will probably be nicked. It's nice to go swimming & have a walk around Guildford when the lesser known bands are on. I will probably be stewarding again for a free ticket.
