They are also playing at the Get Up Stand Up! show on the Blazing Saddle stage on the Sunday between 4-6pm along with Marcus Brigstocke, Isy Suttie and a guest speaker.

Only three times in the whole festival? I'm sure they'll play a few times more on top of that as well.
They are ace, I've seen them before and did some proper skanking. Will definitely try and catch them again this year.

Is Dave Wakeling the only original member left in the group?
They were always my favourite band from the ska era.
Never seen them live so I would like to see them at Glasto.
Are they decent live?

The Beat are fantastic live..........the reason that Sally grabbed them to play at Glastonbury was because of their brilliant live set at last summer's Croissant Neuf Summer party.....an event well worth putting in your diary for this summer.

Pretty sure I saw them in the Leftfield tent in either 08 or 07 - maybe a Thursday night - could be wrong. Deffo saw Neville Staples in there one year.
When Leftfeild had it's rightfull position as opposed to being stuck up in The Park.

Ranking Roger has abs to die for. My ex's band supported them a few yrs ago and Roger let me stroke his tummy. We then had a conversation about rollerblading, and then he went off to get his blades to show me! Lovely bloke, great band, absolutely great live. I'm certainly hoping to catch them.

Ive seen them in Leftfield a few times. A particularly wonderful moment being them doing Rock the Casbah especially for a member of the Clash who was in the audience.
I think I saw Neville in one of the dance tents the same year. It was the first time I'd heard Specials tunes live (before I stalked their comeback tour
) I was very emotional

Essentially, there's now two The Beat's, but with one each side of the pond.
