2 singles that will zip together if you fancy a bit of rumpy pumpy?
Thats what me and hubby have gone for - means we are not disturbing each other climbing into bed later or getting up earlier than the other

You'll murder eachother in a double sleeping bag, unless you can perma-spoon. I need at least half a metre clearance between me and my mrs otherwise I get elbowed and told I'm whistling in my sleep. Or making a click at the back of my throat. To be fair though, she sounds like an abbatoir when she's sleeping. It's disturbing. I love her, obviously, but sometimes I think that I might be best in a separate bed except for mandatory fluid exchanges. The key to a healthy relationship is a good nights sleep after all.

Oooh thanks for the idea, I hadn't thought of that
Where can I get such zip-together ones do ya think?

Poor you! That would drive me up the wall, I love my sleep! Me & my boyfriend got a double sleeping bag when we went camping in Byron Bay last year & I slept wonderfully. (Must just be lucky I guess.) All the double bags I've seen over here seem not to have as much width & yeah I dunno if they'd pee me off a bit

i tried the joinable sleeping bags, and they were crap. if you want to share with someone, take a duvet. but obviously that's only really practical if you're making your own way there.
that's what i'm doing this year.

Yeah that's the problem. They are much smaller than you would hope. I usually take ages to fall asleep as for some reason I get hyper-sensitive and get little itches that I just have to itch. My wife falls asleep straight away and while I'm fidgeting and being awake, she is falling into snore-mode and that makes it even harder for me to sleep.
(She doesn't notice me itching though, it doesn't seem to bother her).

Thanks rachelbon...that is probably what would happen to me! I am totally rubbish with working out things like that
& then I'd get annoyed if I wanted a cuddle & had to sleep alone (or outside the sleeping bag in the cold)!

Cheers for the idea but yeah we will be taking the coach, so can't carry much...& - even worse - I am rehabbing a knee ligament rupture + hammy problems at the mo...so my boyfriend will have to carry pretty much everything
Poor man. Although, it's his first Glasto & he's moving to England just two weeks beforehand...I am so excited for him cos I really don't think he can properly imagine how brilliant Glasto will be...even if he does have to carry some of my stuff!

Unless you like getting smacked in the head/chest/back and being sweaty as hell whilst you sleep I would not recommend a double sleeping bag

We used to have a double sleeping bag and it drove me mad cos i kept getting stuck in the side with no zip and therefore no means of escape! Not good if you're hot or need a wee!
Last year I bought two singles that zip together and they're a vast improvement. Zipped together, you have a zip on each side which is much better for temperature control and getting out without disturbing the other half too much. And they can obviously also be used as single sleepingbags in their own right.
We got two of these from Argos. They're not hardcore camping ones but they suit us fine.

To quote a film " It's that hot! Do you know what I'm talking about?" What do you think it's going to be like tonight? "It's gonna be hot and wet! That's nice if you're with a lady, but ain't no good if you're in the jungle!"

Young love eh!
Me and bird now sleep in different compartments. If I had my way it would be separate tents but that would mean me having to carry an extra one in.
Obviously this hasn't helped, sorry!

Single bags all the way for me, much much warmer than a double

Bought 2 single sleeping bags from Sainsbury's of all places about 2 years ago (think they were only about £6 each) and they are brilliant - simple rectangle ones that you can unzip and then zip together. Loads of room for me and fussy boyfriend!
Reckon all the big supermarkets or Argos will sell cheap decent ones you can do this with
Like this - £10 each now though...

Myself and my o/h have got a double sleeping bag.
You can get em easy enough , ours is a
Coleman Exponent
I have just had a look cos we are doing first camping trip of the year at the weekend and I have got it out.
She suggested we get one.
Only problem we have had was last year , we went camping to Cornwall and i fell on rocks and sprained my wrist but cos I was on holiday I refused to go to A&E thinking sleep and wine would
cure it , but when it swelled up during the night I could not sleep , so i got sent to the sleep in the
front of the tent -
I am not allowed to take it Glasto on my own tho !

We've been together over 10 years and tried the double sleeping bag thing for a couple of festivals. However, once you factor in the need for loo visits, hangovers, space when it gets hot etc we decided to go back to two doubles
