As soon as I've put the kids to bed Tuesday night, and given the wife a kiss, I'm out the door! Glasto now starts on Tuesday night, with beers and iPod in the car waiting for the gates to open.  Get tent pitched, have a snooze, watch footy, and then play some frisbee!

We're travelling down Tuesday cos we're camping in the campervan fields, can get everything set up & then just queue up on the Wednesday so we can get in to watch the game & finally see what Glastonbury's like on a Wednesday before the madness begins!

I'm hopng Wednesday AM, I've put Wednesday PM in this poll as it seems more likely (not too bothered about the football so may aim to arrive around the time that's on). I'm not ruling out Thursday AM if last year's anything to go by though

to those that travel down on the tuesday, what do you do and where do you go until gates open? do queues form at the gates and through pilton village even on tuesday evening?

or do you stay in a nearby village and just wake up super early to get in the queues?

I stopped at old oaks last year, had a mooch round glasto town in the evening and there were plenty of early arrivals taking in the scenery, including some brilliant psychonauts who appeared to have walked the whole way barefoot.

A mate who was onsite from Sunday informed me that at around midnight on Tuesday the police forced the organisers to let several hundred people who were waiting around on the roads nearby in for reasons of public safety.  I am assuming this years car park decision is related to that.

Well we're planning on coming down from Coventry mid afternoon Tuesday, joining the queue to get in to the campervan site & hopefully camped up by half 10 if possible. Then gettin up at a reasonable hour the next day to just ensure we can get in for the game

Should be arriving at about 2pm Weds if there coach is on time. I doubt this very much so I'll get there when I get there...

I'm staying at a nearby campsite Tuesday night and walking the rest Wednesday morning - so it will be a very early start with taking down the tent and what not....
Will all be worth it when the tent is back up again though (with cider in hand)
