Hey Guys,
Was just wondering if you had any thoughts of the possibility of 30 Seconds To Mars playing Reading this year??
I've never been to Reading but if they played I might search around for a day ticket as I missed them touring the Uk early this year.
Have they played Reading before & would you see them??
Cheers.

They've never played before but they wanted to play this year. Chances are slim to none now as any spots suited to them are already filled.

Thanks for the information. That's a shame
I know they are playing Download Festival and also at Radio 1 Big Weekend in Wales this summer, thought possibly they could play Reading as they definitely wont play V!
Cheers.

Ergh.... I hate them. So please not ever.
If its 30 seconds to Mars they can go there and never come back.

Ummmm... no.
I'm not going to Reading this year though I can imagine it applying to Leeds as well (which I am going to) - and I think adding 30 Seconds to Mars to an already jam-packed line-up of fairly mediocre bands would be a mistake. Call me old fashioned but I like my music.... well, better. A band like 30 Seconds to Mars - all they do is remind me that nothing is happening in music today, and I don't want that. I want to be reminded that people still know how to make interesting music, and I am reminded by bands like Girls and Surfer Blood - who, incidentally, are on the bill.

30STM will probably make a main stage appearance next year. But they are playing Download this year, so unless we see a secret set this year, its quite unlikely.

My girlfriend has invited me to that. She gets priority tickets because she lives locally but I'm not overly enthusiastic about it. Radio 1 is shit at the best of times so the idea of them putting on a festival to show off the latest hip and happening beats and tunes doesn't really appeal to me - we're going on the Saturday but I can't really see either of us enjoying it.

Well, the problem is - as I've said to my girlfriend who fits into this demographic - it'll be full of bloody students because it's in Bangor, which is pretty much just a town populated by students. I've been trying to get a house there for the last 2 years to rent but for every one I've seen, you have to be a student.
Big Weekend will be full of w*nkers wearing those bloody yellow sunglasses with slits in them screaming for Jared Leto - I'm so glad it's only a day ticket and I paid nothing for it.

let people enjoy their music, who cares if it's hip or trendy? why are you even going if you don't think either of you will enjoy it? pretty pointless applying for tickets, considering the lineup was released beforehand.
