I think they're still way too big for the FR tent. They headlined NME 3 years ago. and Although they have dropped off the radar a bit, this is a band who has sold around 8/9 million albums, headlined festivals etc in the past. In fact they only just headling NME 3 years back. They're new compilation is getting a bit of hype too. Think they're more likely for main if anywhere now.

Really hope they play (but no doubt they'll clash with someone I really want to see).
Personally I would say they're to big for the FR, I wouldn't say they're any less popular now than they were when they headlined the NME three years ago even if commercially this is the case.

Speaking commerically what happened with their A-Z single thing was that popular as I didn't actually hear one those songs anywhere?

They are releasing all of them on 2 albums. I cant imagine the singles did that well as only hardcore fans would be interested without the radio airplay.

Surely if Ash are playing it'll be the Saturday Leeds/ Sunday Reading? With Russell Lissack playing with them now and Kele Okerke playing on the NME stage it would pave the way for a secret Bloc Party set! Second top Main Stage?

Played manchester last night and were fantastic.
had that floppy haired tool from bloc party on guitar, seen em about 15times now over the years and felt like i re-lived my youth last night. Was really impressed by the new tunes, defo get the new album.

On the V board someone says they've heard they're headlining 4th stage. headlining 4th stage at TITP so they could easily headline FR Stage at Reading.
Think they'll be at V or Reading on a small stage

If they're not too big to headline FR, then against Blink would be fantastic.

I can't see them playing inbetween LCD Soundystem and Phoenix personally. The NME tent already has 11 acts penned in for that day, which is generally the customary total of acts to play on one day. Early mainstage on the Blink day maybe? Struggling with the idea of them headlining the FR stage too..

They won't sub NME. No room, and too big for any of the 6-11 slots. I too can only see 6th main or not playing. They could headline FR i guess but i swear they are far too big still
