Neil

I fully understand why you would consider George's last reply inflammatory and you have gone some way to explaining why the thread was locked.

But  I do come back to my earlier point and questions in post 43, in that there were many other people than just George in that thread who were trying to organise a specific Glastonbury meet for photographers, which we're now locked out of.

Cheers

Ian

Haha thats the most pathetic excuse I ever heard. What is the use of a forum?

As far as I know a forum its a place were like minded people can get together to share their opinions.
You missed out the important part: .... under the rules by which that forum operates.

personally your justifications are really pathetic allegations because as you can see from this thread every one has commented about your single decision to shut the thread down.
along with many saying that, aside from how much they might (or might not) have enjoyed seeing the photos, they felt it was about George promotion. :P

this is absolutely not true. Why do you feel the need to make up the bullshit that you have?
Sorry  Efestivals I must publicly apologize for this post. I honestly thought I couldn't post back as I was trying to reply by pressing on the wrong button.
Sorry once again as I do admit to my own mistakes. (no need of foul language though)

I think George has got the message - and has apologised.  Why not unlock it and let everyone discuss the topic now?

Seems to be cracking a walnut with a sledgehammer from what I've read....

If George is able to make it from now on a thread that not about promoting himself (including not doing such things as posting the same photo twice in consequtive posts :P) then Im happy to re-open it.

Is that all? you could have said that from the beginning. if it was my posts that were bothering you, then you should have said so. For the good of everyone, you can reopen it. i accept your conditions.

I'd like to make a suggestion that the currently-locked thread ought to be for discussions about gear and photographer meets and so on and that the Your favourite Glasto images thread ought to be used for posting, well, your favourite Glasto images.

George, you're a very unusual spammer. I don't bother contacting spammers, as it's simply a waste of my time and I have more than enough to do.

No problem, once every one is back to their own space that is fine and I admire your courage for speaking up. I will pay you the cold beer, hope to see you when we meet up in glasto.
