Am collecting a new stick next weekend. Haven't a clue what to do with it yet. Ant ideas anyone? It is giant redwood (yum) and the main stick is 5 feet across evenly tapering down to 3 1/2 feet across over 30 feet and is knot free.

I haven't seen or read this thread before. I saw it today and have looked at your photos on the 1st page. The photo of the furniture of the Wellington set 2006 - 2008 has almost made me drool. That is exactly the furniture of my dreams. Each is a true work of art, so perfectly executed. Is there a website I can look at more of your stuff on? I did buy a timber mushroom at Glasto many many years ago - may well have been yourself. Don't ask me what year because I've lost that kind of memory!

Having seen your stunning tables and chairs at Croissant Neuf how about something that also provides shelter - not that we're going to have any rain.

A Saturn 5? The most complicated machine ever built, with over 6 million parts, and weighing over 3000 tons, no one alive knows how to build one, turn that lumber into the one wooden part version.

I thought possibly a sculpture of a man or woman with their arms by their sides and head slightly bowed down. So then I went looking for something similar and of course Antony Gormley's only got a metal piece just like it; http://www.antonygor...ou_2005_001.jpg
Still, it would look good in timber although may not be too much of a challenge for someone as skilled as James is. I'll go back to the drawing board I think. Mind you I don't think my input is going to get any better than a willy.
