Mmmmmm, thoughts of Hot Chocolate :P

Do we get a sneaky preview of how it ended ... or are we gonna have to wait until sometime towards the end of June whilst wandering around Croissant Neuf field to find out ?

A few questions James ...

1) Any idea of the age of the tree as it is a good size? (or anyone with good vision count the tree rings? :P )

2) What type of tree is it?

3) Is this going to end up as one of your giant mushrooms?

Just interested... :P

Planted in 1876 by the then Lord Mayor of Bristol in the garden of his villa which are now appartments. It was the tallest tree in Clifton.

2) What type of tree is it?
  Giant Redwood (sequoia wellingtonia)

3) Is this going to end up as one of your giant mushrooms?
  Nope

Just interested... :P

What an awesome bit of wood to get hold of James - very much looking forward to coming along to say hi and see what you've created with it. Have you already decided what you're doing with it?

hopefully it is going to be another set of thrones and table...........the plan is for it to seat more than the sets we have made before.

at glastonbury we are going to try to sort out a karaoke/sing a long session with "hymn sheets" around the table (no standard solo karaoke though) which could be a raucous giggle after hours. we have a vague shortlist of songs suggested by posters on here on another thread.
