I spent quite a bit of Sunday there - once i had got there collapsed in a heap, layed in the sun listening to music, managed to wander to nearest food tent and back - woke up in time for Blur.  4 nights of little/no sleep caught up on me (yes i feel old).

In the very wee hours of Sunday morning last year, we were making our way back from some delight or other across the Pyramid field, strolled up the barrier to take it all in and got talking to this young Scottish security bloke, very nice fella.
He told us that on the Saturday morning, about 4-5 middle aged men and women had come to the front of the stage about 10am, took out chairs, parked themselves right down at the front and stayed there for the rest of the day seemingly oblivious to the acts that were actually on, taking out sandwiches and drinks etc. rarely moving from their chairs if at all. Then, as it was coming up to Springsteen, they got up, folded up their chairs and had prime place, then wandered off after his set.
I was stunned.

Surely not that stunning - they sound like Springsteen fans treating it like another gig. I imagine they'll be U2 fans doing the same this year.

Clearly it's a waste of a ticket and I wouldn't do it but each to their own.

08 glasto our group had a main stage saturday out of about 15 of us the 6 girls that were with us buggered off to watch duffy i think but other than that we were there all day , chairs , flag , beer cooler we were well back from the second set of speakers up the hill .. and had a cracking day :P  our group will probably be doing the same this year on the sunday ..

and in 07 after wandering around the site weds and thurs the rain and mud made it hard work to get round the site so we spent fri - sunday at the main stage from start to finish and again had a great time

i cant see the problem with people wanting to stay at the main stage all day if thats what they want to do , is it causing you problems ? ffs  :P

I just find it peculiar when people compain about something or other being on the Pyramid, as if that somehow means they're forced to watch it, or as if moving to a different stage is some great affront.

If the whole line-up for a given day suits then why not? If your into the bands you will love it! It would be like having a day long, beer filled BBQ being entertained by loads of live music you like. Sounds like fun. But I could not do it for the whole weekend! I personally would find it tough for the whole day, but if the line was good enough Id defo think of doing it..........plenty more time in the 4 other days to do other stuff around site! (I would not park in front of the stage either BTW).......Id probably sit somewhere near enough food, toilet and bar

However the Pyramid line up has never been from start to end "me" so it has never even nearly happened..........

We did it early on friday last year, sat around for around 3-4 hours. Sat in a big group just chilling out drinking and eating before any of the bands we wanted to see were on
