This ties in to the threads about the football, and the threads complaining about some act or other in the pyramid lineup not being to their tastes.
I'm interested in hearing from those of you who come to Glastonbury and spend most of your time at the Pyramid stage. Maybe dashing away for 10 minutes to grab a bite to eat?
Do you exist?
Is that really what you do?
Do your friends do the same?
Do you ever feel the urge to explore?
Any other comments?

I was there for quite a lot of Saturday last year because of the line up, but as much as I wanted to see the artists, it bothered the hell out of me!
Luckily I'm not too fussed about this years, so can happily bimble around at my leisure.
Peace x

I don't like leaving the Pyramid stage and losing my place. So i take a nice chair & leave it in a spot. There are usually 4 -6 of us so we can keep our place all weekend. The Pyramid has all the best bands, and it has the biggest loudest sweetest sound system & nice big screens, there really is no point in going anywhere else.

I am not a big fan, I don't like the large crowds and I wouldn't watch acts I dislike just to be at the front for bands I do like

With a massive flag so there is no chance of losing your friends again I hope.

Ray Davies through to Stevie Wonder this year will easily be the longest time I've spent at the Pyramid stage in one go (although I might dash off to catch a bit of I Am Kloot as I know a mate is a big fan and people are raving about them on here
).
I think staying for two bands at most would be my previous longest in one sitting, and probably three bands would be the most I've seen on any one day.
....so long story short, I'm not one of those people, and don't know anyone who is!

I barely go to the Pyramid stage myself but I can't believe people are getting so royal and elitist! If someone pays 200 quid and wants to stay at the Pyramid stage then thats for them! Its not to say they dont do other stuff after the bands and on the Wednesday and Thurday!

Think I once spent 4 or 5 hours there on a Saturday afternoon a few years back, but only because it happened to be a good run of bands for me. I certainly don't protect a spot, but it can be nice to know you ain't moving for a while, especially with the aching I've normally got in my legs by the Friday.
I'm rarely at the front of any gigs, I like/require a bit of space.
I often take a camp chair, but the great thing about them is that they fold away, can easily be moved, and don't need to be deployed. The use of them as terrotorial markers gets on my nerves, but I'd enjoy the festival a lot less without mine at least for an hour or 2 each day.
The Sunday is the worst in my opinion for the camping, but each to their own, I guess its non-hardcore locals grabbing a taster.

I know, some people on here see it as gaining ultimate festival cool points to not see any bands (or pretend not to have) on the pyramid. FFS its the main stage! of course there is going to be some good stuff on it.
personally of all the bands i see over the weekend, maybe 20/30% are on the pyramid, just about the right amount of cool points amassed surely?

While there is nothing like the spectacle of seeing a headliner on the pyramid stage, it freaks me out a bit.
I can get a bit claustrophobic. Got dragged towards the front for the Killers. I completely flipped out and spent 45 minutes getting out, finally helped by a kind soul in Orbital esque headgear. Dodged a bullet though as I saw Iggy and then Africa Express.
I'll still go to watch bands on it, but I don't like going in very far and get a bit nervous if there's a huge crowd
