Saw them at Brixton a few months back they were amazing I think if they wanted it they could be a massive global success but I just get the impression they dont want all that and I can see them headling festivals in a few years

dont think they will play much old stuff. maybe 1 or 2 songs likes in 07 when they opened with bodies in flight. but they have become a very big band from the last 2 albums, so wont be expecting much old stuff.

Biffy are one of the main reasons why I'm going. They're brilliant live and I liked the new album. DOubt we'll get much old stuff though
At V last year they didn't even play 57!

Hmmm, im not sure. They are 3rd on the lineup... and like you said they got big of thier last 2 albulms, so im thinking it will be 50/50 old and new stuff. Kinda like thier greatest hits since they first started, as lets face it, most the old songs are alot better than the new stuff. I love both, both old stuff is a lot better, and if they want to get bigger they have to show previous work
So im thinking all thier best songs throughout thier time, espeshally as only revolutions came out early 2009 didnt it? Im not sure the whole of 2009 is a blur to me right now!

i hope they do play 50/50 with old and new stuff. that would be so good. i just dont know how well it will go down with the crowd who would only know them from puzzle onwards.
also chances of josh homme coming on and doing bubbles?

Well thier older stuff is different, but not so different they wont like it. If they are true biffy fans they'll apreshiate it and go buy thier older albulms after.
If they dont like it, then f**k them, they dont deserve to have a good time
BIffy should play to thier dedicated audiance not the half wits who dont give thier other stuff a lissen

Not getting my hopes up for much old stuff- 57 and one other at best I reckon. Look at their setlists from V last year and Reading the year before.

old stuff you can realistically hope for
glitter and trauma
57
27
joy discovery invention
theres no such thing as a jaggy snake
questions and answers
liberate the illiterate
new stuff that will more than likely be played
saturday superhouse
living is a problem
that golden rule
get f**ked stud
many of horror
the captain
whos got a match?
mountains
bubbles
so i expect all of the new stuff above, and then throw in 2/3 of the older material.
im 95& sure thats what will happen.

Though a fair reply might have been "do it yourself you lazy f**ker" (
) here they are:
V Festival Stafford 09
That Golden Rule
57
Who's Got A Match?
Love Has A Diameter
A Whole Child Ago
Bubbles
Living Is A Problem Because Everything Dies
Machines
Now I'm Everyone
Get f**ked Stud
Mountains
Reading 08
Saturday Superhouse
Who's Got A Match?
A Whole Child Ago
9/15s
Mountains
Get f**ked Stud
Machines
Now I'm Everyone
Living Is A Problem
57
Their set this year should be a bit longer than either of those two, so it's possible they'll play a similar set with a couple of extra older ones. I think it's more likely they'll just whack in a few more off Only Revolutions though. And given the utter bemusement on the faces of most when they played 57 at the above sets, I'm not sure the majority of the crowd will care.

So happy they were announced, hope they play
Whos Got A Match
Saturday Superhouse
Living Is A Problem
Mountains
That Golden Rule
Many Of Horror
The Captain
Bubbles
Hah Im guessing fans of their old stuff wouldnt agree with me?

Seen em quite a lot since Puzzle and gotta say even at their own gigs old material is pretty limited, usually 4 or 5 max inc 57, Justboy, Glitter and Trauma and Liberate the Illiterate recently
I love all their stuff but really do miss the pre Puzzle times when you'd get a good mix of the 3 other albums cos in my opinion it really is the best stuff.
They'll still be f**king epic like always at Leeds though!

Glitter & Trauma + new stuff would suit me fine. Love both their mainstream albums, previous 3 where what made them different but not the biggest fan.

Id rather they just played Puzzle all the way through.
I dont like the old stuff. Or the new album.

Hopefully the lead singer will get his top off to show off his tats, there must be at least 10 people going who haven't seen them before.

the old stuff so much better.
put right off by the previous setlists.
seriously, only playing one song from the first three albums...that's terrible.
blackened sky and vertigo of bliss are amazing.
but sadly i'm not totally arsed about seeing them this year because i know they'll play shit liek captain and many of horror, which you would hear playing at mcdonalds and asda and shit- i mean, is there any more obvious sign of a band's downfall??
BODIES IN FLIGHT!!
would love a bit of that.
Still, That Golden Rule is a pretty awesome song
