There's also scenes of hardcore porn aswell which can be a bit horrific to see for some folk when going with the music but it's all part of the show. To be honest it's a brief talking point for his act and the rest of the time you would go on about how amazing he makes the music sound.

I've only seen him at T and that's what I remember from it. All that aside, he is immense live.

Cheers for replying, will catch most of his set then and maybe catch the starting of Leftfields set, I presume they will start a bit later, being the closing main stage act on Saturday night.

Hopefully this is the story, Aphex in Clash followed by Leftfield mainstage, would really like to see both acts in full if its possible.

Although for music purposes I'd much rather see Leftfield before Aphex Twin, purely because Aphex is gona be such a mind f**k that you won't want to see much after that, maybe a few tunes and tins back in camp, he would be perfect to finish up proceedings on saturday night.

As for the mortuary and hardcore porn, well its all just part of the trip

I think the tune is called Metz, thats what shows anyway if you click the youtube image twice on the thread page, it will take you to the youtube page.

Personally I feel to experience Aphex Twin there will be no need for stimulants lol as his music and visuals will trip ya out anyway.

I done a wee bit checking and I think Metz is where the gig was at, Metz in France. According to some sites aswell he played a set full of unreleased material which is meant to be incredible. Itching to see him now. Plus he's doing a DJ set which should be quite different from his usual live shows, maybe even his visuals will be less intense but hopefully not, part of the experience.

I must admit, I hadn't heard much Aphex, and I was all set for watching Leftfield.

But after watching the vidoes on this thread I'm torn, it looks f**king amazing!

Yeh I really like this track especially when I hooked up the pc speakers with the sub woofer.  It takes elements of I Care Because You Do and Richard D James, you can hear the treated pianos and Chinese stringed instruments of both these records coupled with the space age funk that James seems to be doing these days.  I also want to keep this thread alive, as I was milling when Aphex got announced 2 years ago for T and Oxegen, when I was going to other festivals.
